Qualiy in itself OK, but it is hard to attract the attention of the staff. So waiting for food, drinks and bill seems to be the rule. Portions sometimes fine (duck), sometimes a bit sad (tartare) and there is a lack of condiments, only chips...More

Service is above Dutch average. Small, but interesting menu; just a few vegetarian options. Caesar salad is properly made and delicious. Quite expensive food, but I suppose you’re paying for the location. Bottle of house white wine is about €40. This is a restaurant that’s...More

Had a very good breakfast here on a recent visit to Amsterdam. Service was very good. Coffee's were great and the truffle scrambled eggs were brilliant. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is 2 mins from the Amstel hotel where we stayed and was wonderful. Serving simple food done well with friendly bilingual staff and nice wines by the glass. It opened in 1702 so is an expert by now !

In the summer, De Ysbreeker has a fantastic patio; on a rainy December evening, not so much :-) Inside, however, we found great food and great service. We shared the homemade poultry paté (delicious!), and then had the ribeye (perfectly medium rare, great sauce and...More
