Since first encountering (but not eating) "bitterballen" 25 years ago in the Amsterdam airport, I've dreamt of the day I'd find a vegetarian version. Hard to believe that Holland of all places is so late to the vegetarian game, but I have a feeling things...More

After walking to see the sculptures at Art Zuid, we dropped in for lunch but opted to eat indoors in spite of the lovely sunny weather outside. That was because there was a table with a man smoking incessantly and my friend was bothered by...More

A real Amsterdanm institution. Whenever we are in Amsterdam we eat here, either breaksfast, brunch or lunch and it never fails to delight. A wonderful elegant charming place , with unusually great service in this city!! The food is excellent.

This is a good restaurant close to the Hilton hotel. It has a nice terrace, and the interior is even better . The food is maybe better than the service. It seems that some of locals enjoy this restaurant which is always a good sign.

We walked to this local brasserie from the Hilton on a pleasant Saturday evening in early April. Nice walk through a real residential neighborhood to this small cafe frequented primarily by locals from the area. Very good Dutch and continental food. I had a fantastic...More

We had diner at 'de Joffers' with friends. All 4 of us enjoyed the good food and valued the quality. Personally I ate the lamb from the Tajine with couscous. Lovely dish.

Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part
of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh
Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed
museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you
need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the
Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark,
the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand
connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping

Exclusive Brasserie de Joffers is designed in the Parisian style and offers a seasonally changing menu based mainly on organic and sustainably produced ingredients. The cuisine is gourmet in style and is well complemented by the fantastic wine list. Brasserie de Joffers is also one of very few restaurants in Amsterdam where you can have an English-style afternoon tea.
