Service was at times slow, but otherwise the food was extremely yum! Portions are small as it's an al a carte type meal but worth it with the all you can eat option! Sushi was fresh and delicious!!

This dimly lighted Japanese restaurant, which looks more like a bar, serves all you can eat Japanese food. The price differs between lunch and dinner and goes from basic to special as well. The sushi was great although we did not have much time to eat more as we had to go on the tour. This place is conveniently located... More

Kyoto Cafe has been around for years. It's an all you can eat and historically a pretty good one. Strange to witness a complete collapse with some of the food somewhere between unsafe and revolting. Ordered spicy tuna hand roll, contained 4 strings about 4-5 cm long of tuna ligaments. How does that happen? The "chef" explained: we use a... More

I have eaten here many time over the years and the quality has dropped the where I may not be back. We had some challenges with our order and the chef said she was too busy to talk to us. This place you can pay a set price and eat all you want. I'd suggest just to do this if... More

We visited Kyoto on a busy Sunday night - service was very good, although the wait between courses seemed a bit lengthy. Food tasted great and no limit in amount of food per course! (But limited to 5 courses). Great experience

I had visited Amsterdam on a stag do. On the last day decided to pay a visit to the Kyoto cafe for some sushi. The sushi was nice and reasonably price, I went for the salmon lover set. Only down side was that one of the peices of sashimi contained bones, when I told the the chef he just shrugged... More

Expecting an All You Can Eat Sushi Restaurant in central Amsterdam to serve good fish/sushi is naive. Unfortunately, I'm very naive, and a friend recommended it to me. I'd like to add some caveats to my review, as follows: the meat dishes seem fine, the service is ok, the price is for as much as you can eat, as long... More

l went here yesterday together with my wife and daughter. Actually we were here 2 days ago too, and the truth is that it was so good that we just had to return. The concept is not new, it's a sushi buffet, but what makes this place special is the wide selection of all kinds of sushi, sashimi and various... More

To be honest, I usually don't like to go to restaurants located on touristic areas. So, I didn't expect much from this restaurant when I first found it, apart from the fact that I have been craving to eat sushi for the past week. And I was blown away by the quality of the food served here. The only downside... More

We were with 6 girls. Reserved table in advance for Tuesday. Came at 17.30 and was given table for 4 persons . Was very uncomfortable! We asked for bigger table as the restaurant was almost empty. Waitress refused to do that. We got small table anyway. We made an order and got something what we did not order. We informed... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
