Do not come to this restaurant if you have a peanut allergy. I came here with my family and I am severely allergic to peanuts and as we were ordering I quickly realized everything had peanuts and the waitress told me it would not be...More

THE place to go-- best rijstaffel in the Netherlands. The food is excellent-- I didnt rate the restaurant excellent because I felt we did not get good advice from our server about how to order... we should have ordered several of the same menu (either...More

My daughter and I had the meat rijsttafel which consisted of a variety of small dishes of beef, pork, chicken, goat as well as vegetables, potatoes, fried banana and rice. It was plenty to eat and very tasty. For dessert we had Indonesian cake which...More

First off, Indonesian is not a cuisine the average westerner is going to have an opportunity to try. Amsterdam is your city for that. And if you are going to eat Indonesian, do it at Blauw. It is regularly on "best of" lists; this is...More

I agree with all the other comments about the food. Three of us eat here and had 2 meat and 1 fish rijsttafel. Everything was really tasty and beautifully presented. However, the reason for 4/5 is that none of the food came out hot. It...More

You shouldn't miss the opportunity to have rijstafel (rice table) when you are in Amsterdam. This is an elaborate meal adapted by the Dutch that consists of many small dishes, including egg rolls, sambals, satay, grilled meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, pickles, nuts and rice. They...More

Amsterdam is blessed with many excellent restaurants influenced by the colonial links to Indonesia and Restaurant Blauw is certainly one of them. Recommended by a friend, it's well worth the journey to the far end of the Vondelpark, best taken by taxi. Once there, the...More

Great Indonesian food. We went for the seafood reijstaffel, and it was delicious. The only thing we can think of that could have made it better was adding more sauce to most of the dishes. The waitresses were really friendly. Recommended!

No better way to experience this type of food. A little bit of everything with a decent Malbec to boot. We lucked in without a reservation, the place was full.

Hi there, Indonesian food is spicy. Period. If you order a rice table at least half the dishes vary from spicy to very spicy. It's somewhere between a Thai mild curry and Indian vindaloo. Hope this helps.

We paid about 31 euro per person. It is a lot of food for one person, but there is a 10 euro charge to split. Be warned, the servers have attitude issues! Best regards, Stropertre.
