A personable smiling proprietor and good quality haring. He provides a few seats, but one can take the portion out and go in search of a Genever.

We thought it was fish restaurant but this is a crowded fish fast-food place. Not that the sandwiches were so bad, but they are totally ordinary and prices are like that of a restaurantt. Not recommended unless you are in the area and need a...More

It’s in a small alley and place is equally small but the man running the place is awesome. The kind of person you wish you could have as your grandparents. Food is fresh, yummy, and costs a little.

The best herring we’ve ever tried! Small pieces of a just-right salty herring with pickled cucumbers on a fresh bread is something that goes really well on a chilly Amsterdam day. Beware of seagulls if you go outside!

The herring sandwich loved up to the hype. It’s a fresh piece of herring with pickles on a white roll. So simple yet so delicious. The herring was very fresh. I would absolutely go back.

It is in the centre of Amsterdam and busy and not over-priced but totally junk food category. Also a bit smelly interior and not so pleasant to sit and eat here.

From what I can remember prices were very cheap. We had a sandwich which cost 2 or 3 Euros.
