Having tried (and failed) to be served in the cod English pub that is Small Talk, just round the corner, we found Pompa... and were impressed. This is an unpretentious, well-run, homely restaurant with friendly staff and 100 different breakfast combinations. The woman we ended...More

Pompa has great, fresh Mediterranean food...heavy on the popular Spanish and Italian dishes & tapas. It’s a great outdoor cafe for people watching but it also has indoor, mainly upstairs, seating. The service is outstanding - we were there the hottest day of the year...More

An unpretentious gem of a restaurant featuring Italian, Spanish and, yes, Dutch fare. Near the Van Gogh Museum, Concertgebouw and other attractions, it has the feel of a neighborhood place. Friendly staff, un-rushed atmosphere.

Stopped in for lunch before visiting the Van Gogh Museum, and was surprised at how amazing the pasta was. Very authentic and flavorful with a great price.

Great for quick lunch or a snack. Efficient service and wonderful food. We had a goat cheese panini which was surprisingly amazing, a satisfying fish soup and a vegetable plate. The Hummus was also great!

We ran across Pompa after leaving Museumplein in Amsterdam. It's just a short walk and out of the standard tourist spots. We were looking for something simple like sandwiches and enjoyed the club sandwich and grilled chicken sandwich which were both good. At 8.50 Euros...More
