Location and contact

In the heart of the Amsterdam neighborhood known as 'De Jordaan', there is a street popularly known as 'Little Italy'. This street owes its nickname to the relatively large amount of high standard Italian restaurants in the area. Only one of these makes pizzas: La Perla. We've built a large wood fueled brick oven, which is essential to baking a great pizza. You can take away our pizzas, or - when in the Jordaan, do as the Jordanezen do - eat in the pizzeria, have an espresso or a dessert and enjoy the lively in- and outdoor scene.

We were getting sick of eating traditional Dutch food after 3 days in Amsterdam and a friendly local we chatted up recommended La Perla for dinner. We made an easy reservation and headed out around 9 pm. The restaurant is located down an alleyway in...More

Came here without a reservation and were lucky to get a seat, so I would advise coming if you want to come here. The place doesn’t serve pasta at night, only pizza. So be warned! The pizza is pretty good. They have a takeaway opposite,...More

This restaurant was on a list of recommendations from our hotel. We asked the hotel if we needed to make reservations and they said no even though it was close to peak dinner time. The restaurant was about 10 minutes walking distance from our hotel....More

Best pizza I have had in years. Service informal and super friendly. Not a place to linger for ages as they turn the tables. Really enjoyed it.

What can I say....excellent pizza and pasta. We went there in large group and in just few minutes everything was organized and prepared for us so I can't complain about service, they were nice and polite.

Delicious pizza prepared in coal fired oven. Nice place to eat out with friends, though the seating is limited.

The food is great, no doubt about it. The service unfortunately isn't. I was ignored when entered only to be helped after a while by a waitress who asked if I had a reservation -- which I had. When I thought she went to check,...More

This used to be my favourite pizza place in Amsterdam, as the pizzas are really tasty. However, unfortunately, the service is getting worse (arrogant, not attentive, long waiting times, inappropiate clothing showing bell buttons sometimes) and the pizzas are getting smaller..

After waking by this place many times (and its always full), we made a reservation and had dinner. It’s small, so I would recommend a reservation (at least for Friday and Saturday nights). The dinner options are appetizers and pizza (lunch seems to have more...More

We went here for dinner with our teenage children. We booked a table as it is very popular and not a very big restaurant. The table wasn't quite ready when we arrived so we sat on a bench outside and they brought us out some...More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
