In the heart of the Amsterdam neighborhood known as 'De Jordaan', there is a street popularly known as 'Little Italy'. This street owes its nickname to the relatively large amount of high standard Italian restaurants in the area. Only one of these makes pizzas: La Perla. We've built a large wood fueled brick oven, which is essential to baking a great pizza. You can take away our pizzas, or - when in the Jordaan, do as the Jordanezen do - eat in the pizzeria, have an espresso or a dessert and enjoy the lively in- and outdoor scene.

I like this place Located in the Jordaan with seating outside, it's a cosy place and has a great atmosphere. Service is okay, a bit casual but typical for Amsterdam in that sense. Value for money is good, and food was great too. We all...enjoyed our pizzas and starters (we had the bruschetta). I recommend it, especially if you want to go for a picturesque walk before and/or after dinner. Plenty of canals and beautiful streets!More

I've lived in Amsterdam now for about a year and quite honestly have been very disappointed in the dining scene here, in general a culture around great food and wine is lacking. Most places are either fast food like places for tourists or super high-end...gourmet places with mediocre food and just kinda a weird vibe of trying to copy others. La Perla is a welcome exception as the food is honest and quality, prices reasonable and the staff friendly. I have eaten their pizza several times now and it never disappoints. They have 2 locations directly in front of each other, one being a sit-down restaurant and the other, where the bake the pizzas, to get pizza to go or to order at the counter and find a seat. Trust me, you're not going to find some great "authentic" Amsterdam food so just get a delicious hot pizza from La Perla.More

We had a lovely meal at La Perla. Reasonably priced and very cosy. The restaurant is very popular with locals, so pre-booking is a must!

One of the best Pizza Margherita in Amsterdam. Small nice place and would recommend to reserve a table in front.

Well I’m sad to say after visiting this restaurant dozens of times over the last decade and recommending it to many more than that, I had a horrible experience tonight. I took a seat at the bar and got a drink and ordered a pizza....To my surprise a pizza was placed in front of me less than 30 seconds later. I said this cannot be mine I just ordered it. The server said the kitchen made an error and this is just what you ordered so you got lucky. I started eating it and realized it was not in fact what I ordered and it was not even warm. So I asked for it to be taken away and be replaced by my original order. This was done with no problem but the pizza I was delivered had so much olive oil poured on top of it that it soaked all the way through the pizza and ruined the delicious crust. Nevertheless I was eating it when the hostess appeared and asked if I would mind to take my plate and move over to make room for other people. I did mind and i told her so but she insisted. I thought this was adding insult to injury so I asked for my check and left. Never was I offered anything like a drink on the house or even an apology, just move over woman. This place has gotten too full of itself and that’s not a good thing.More

Best Pizza in Amsterdam as they have a wood fired pizza oven and they use authentic Italian pizza flour (000) and sauces. You will not be disappointed! Reservations needed.
