Even though this place advertises with gluten free options, neither the chef nor the waiter seemed to have a clue on what this meant. Asking for the omelette was declined because of gluten (seriously who would put flour in an omelette???) Salad with goat cheese was the second option which we were told was not ok due to goat cheese.... More

Well prepared Spanish dishes. Love it! They really know what they are serving. Food and beverages are all Spanish. Only the sound of the Westerkerk makes you realize that you are in Amsterdam.

If you usually eat paella or if you know the real taste of it forget about this place, the rice is overcooked and the fish not fresh. Just for turist

Not the very best tapas, but all the same good quality and well priced at this lovely canal side location. Iberico quality is questionable, meatballs very good, Padron peppers a little too small, pane tomate just ok and surprisingly the paella very good. Nice staff although not always attentive, a good tapas experience but cannot equate to Spain and expat... More

Went for dinner and ordered from the wide range of tapas. All 5 of us enjoyed and felt very happy with our choices. The chef was great and came out to make sure we were satisfied. Really recommend and very affordable!

We had a very pleasant experience at Parra. We sampled a lot of what they had to offer and everything was delicious. The food was freshly prepared and de vina del sol went very well with the tapas.Very friendly service .It is also very well priced.Try this little place out and you won't be disappointed!

It would be a challenge to find better tapas than this in Spain. Friendly and first class service with fresh and beautifully prepared dishes of chicken, sea food, lamb, ham, pork, cheese and vegetables. A delight from start to finish.

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
