We enjoyed a pleasant family dinner and felt like we had a typical Dutch experience. Felt like a neighborhood place, even though it is on one of the busiest canals in Amsterdam, a few blocks north of the Anne Frank house. We asked our server to recommend some typical Dutch apps and favorites which he was happy to do. The... More

We stopped in on a rainy day while visiting Amsterdam, and were met with a pleasant surprise. We were seated very quickly and with a group of four people were served fairly quickly. The bacon cheeseburger was awesome and all of my friends seemed to be more than happy were the food as well. Beer was served quickly as well.... More

We spent two weeks in Germany and Netherlands and this was the only restaurant we would NEVER recommend. We were there for lunch on a rainy weekday. We ordered our meals and after waiting 45 minutes, we motioned to the server to ask about our meals (two tables who arrived after us were served before us). Server was extremely rude;... More

The food is lovely, the location is great. Our waitress went out of her way to get us a seat outside. The music is cool, everyone enjoying themselves. The place is really chilled!! Certainly go again

Very popular restaurant,so get there early. We found it a few years ago and dine there every time we visit. Very good food, including lots of Dutch traditional dishes.Great atmosphere, cozy and warm, with excellent service.

My husband and I enjoyed dinner here and then I returned again on my own later in the week. We were on holiday in Amsterdam and were looking for a simple pub style meal. I had the special - crumbed chicken with mashed potato. It was excellent and my husband loved his steak with vegetables. A couple of beers and... More

De Vergulde Gaper is a really nice restaurant next to the canals! It has some tables outside to enjoy the view! Their bio burger is really great: fresh bread and vegetables and delicious meat!

We were looking for somewhere to eat a late lunch on the way to Anne Frank Haus and came across this pub. Nice interior and friendly staff. The food was lovely, we had the leek and potato soup and the club sandwich. The sandwich was of a generous portion and very tasty, the rye bread it was on was lovely.... More

We stopped in here on a Wednesday night at 7pm with zero knowledge or expectations and left very happy. The food was outstanding and the portions were plentiful. Its rare that I cant finish a meal in Europe. There were 3 guys running the place and I mean running. They were probably taking care of 60-70 guests and everyone in... More
