Well its way over prized for no good food. We had a pasta arribiata that was nothing special. A tartar that was tasteless and a risotto that was way to sweet. No one finished the plate... expensive and absolutely no value for the money

we were there at 19:00 restaurant empty, service outrageously poor. We could literally not get bread or water. The food was just OK and fairly expensive.

This was a good place for delicious food and friendly, humorous staff. The fixed price menu was good value. The wine list had some good choices to complement the food. We sat outside, although the location isn't all that attractive - however, you're close to the Rijksmuseum and other sites, so it's not far to walk if you're staying near... More

We stopped here to rest our feet after visiting the Van Gogh museum and stayed for hours. Great food and very friendly service. Lots of seating options. Inside the Windows, restaurant, and outside. We sat under the heaters outside and were very comfortable. Shrimp croquettes were nice. The cheese plate was very tasty. The Umbrian Chardonnay was two-bottle good!

The indoor seating looked great but we sat outside since it was a sunny and warm evening. The service was pretty good. We had the surf n'turf burger. The portions were large with one regular burger and one fish burger. The fish burger was much more tasty than the regular burger which was not bad either. Overall a good restaurant... More

My husband and I had been advised by a Dutch friend that we'd love being in Amsterdam in early-mid May because it would be asparagus season. Our friend was correct-- my favorite vegetable was being served everywhere, in a variety of dishes. Among the best was the asparagus supper enjoyed at Brasserie Keyzer on our first evening. Absolutely sublime !!

We were in Amsterdam for three days and came here twice! The food was delicious and all cooked perfectly. The steak was a stand out dish for me! My partner thoroughly enjoyed the pork belly too. The staff were pleasant and helpful on both occasions. Will definitely come back for more food the next time I visit Amsterdam!

Visited in mid-April with family; me and my partner with both our parents for three nights. This restaurant was close to where we stayed - and was recommended by the hotel as a good place to eat, so we thought we would give it a try. We were not disappointed!! Visited first for breakfast early on during our stay -... More

The food was very good and also the wine list has a good selection.Tried especially the fish: mackerel, salmon and asparagus dishes, etc. However, you should expect high prices and sometimes forgetting your order, even though there are only few customers in the restaurant at the time...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
