Good cafe, good beer, and mostly good food. I didn't love my lamb, but everything else was great. Friendly service.

We recommend this restaurant. It is small so reservations are required unless eating early. The decor is modest but the staff is very friendly, the service and food are good and prices are reasonable. There are quite a lot of local beers available. We tried some regional specialities, which we enjoyed.

My husband and I went out of our way to find this restaurant as we read all the glowing reviews about it on tripadvisor. We didn't have a reservation, so were lucky we got seated. I ordered the Indonesian chicken skewers and my hubby had the steak. The chicken was OK - nothing wow or 'must try' - just some... More

Nice little restaurant mear museum area of Amsterdam. Service was good and waitress was always smiling. I had the peppercorn steak with chips, pretty good value and filling. Recommended for something different with a bit of some indonesian influence included.

A nice intimate atmosphere, lots of interesting things to look at on the walls and at the guy beavering away in the tiny kitchen. Plus ultra smiley and lovely waitress. I had an Indonesian chicken dish- you get the choice of having 2 or 3 strips of chicken. To anybody of standard appetite, I would say go for 2- I... More

I didn't like this resturant, It's in a busy street full of small resturant, we seated first inside and then on the street. Inside we were very close to the open kitchen, it was very small, maybe clean but the chef was taking food from plastic bag, they seems from food-market and cooked or warm up a bit, witout any... As it was a holiday Saturday, i had booked a few days ahead. Starter of fresh bread and garlic butter was excellent, followed by chicken in a sauce, home made fries............. Service was excellent throughout, and the in house beer was amazing

Very small restaurant with extremely friendly service. My partner and I both ordered steak, which was cooked to our liking, gorgeous and certainly reasonably priced. Would easily recommend to anybody.

We visited Kop van Jut having read the comments posted earlier, and can only agree that this is a great little place in Amsterdam! Tiny cosy room downstairs was packed with customers, almost all speaking Dutch, which I view as a good sign! Menu was short and based on local classic cuisine. And there were local beers from De Prael... More

Went twice during our 6 day stay. Made reservations both nights for 7pm. Staff very friendly. The Blonde home beer was excellent, we had the pepper steak (my husband said it was a little bit tough but tasty), Double Dutch appetizer of shrimp croquettes and goat cheese croquettes - very good, pork schnitzel - good, the best dessert - chocolate...
