We just been there yesterday and soo yummy. Why we haven’t tried that place before? Nice restaurant, nice vibe.... service was very cool, chilled, relaxed but still very attentive. We had tartare and oysters as starters. Very good. Then the pork ribs plus a sirloin...steak. I loved the meat plus the sides I had.(corn) I don’t know why but it tasted like Christmas already 😊 Overall, great food and a nice evening. Thanks guys.More

The bad: Beef was tough and one order overcooked. If you’re a “steak club” these are the basics that you need to get right... Oysters weren’t clean. The good: Place looks the part and the drinks were good, actually got service which in Amsterdam is...surprising (we were only one of a couple of tables so wouldn’t bank on it if busy) The verdict: Won’t be back and won’t recommend.More

I love the concept of ordering from a list of available steaks on the wall. When we got there, there were only really two types left (it was around 9pm and there were plenty of other options on the menu too), but we ordered a...30oz Spanish Baza. We each had a cocktail, which was very good. We got a side of buttered potatoes and another side of leeks. But the steak was by far the star of the show. It was perfectly cooked, insanely flavorful, and plenty of food for two hungry traveling Americans. We live in the US midwest and eat steak fairly regularly both from cooking at home and eating out in Chicago. This is the best steak I've had. There really isn't much point trying to describe it further. It fully justified the €93 we paid for it. I can't wait to visit Amsterdam again just to have another steak here... Highly recommend.More

I stumbled across this place last week and thought to myself; 'Imust go give it a try' I can't believe it's been there for a year and I didn't know! Compared to all the steak houses Ive been to in Amsterdam (we’ve been to quite...a few) this is by far my favorite. Its definitely up there with Hawksmoor in London. The service was friendly, attentive and informative. I had oysters to start, very fresh and full of flavor. They even gave me an additional one as they were very small. The steak was cooked perfectly, we decided to share one of the chef cuts 26oz rib which was plenty. The beef dripping fries were amazing and the bullet bbq sauce was so good. With a bottle of wine between us and a coffee after, it was really reasonably priced for a lovely evening out.More

I am giving a star only coz you can't give less. Looking at the reviews we had very high expectations about this place. .. And it was a total disappointment. We were 4, all meat lovers, often going to steak restaurants and this was the...worst we tried in Amsterdam . The restaurant was almost empty, the waiter was polite and was doing his job, trying to upsell large steaks that we asked to see and looked overpriced for the quality of the meat. The fillet, one of the 4 small cuts they offer, was not available so I ordered a sirloin for 35€. My friends had rib-eye and short rib. The first was hard and chewy, the opposite of what you expect when you order a rib-eye, the second burnt and not seasoned at all. My steak was full of nerves and impossible to cut with the low quality knives they have (they have no steak knives in a steak restaurant). The steaks came on a large plate, accompanied by... A half burnt onion. That's all. So you pay a minimum of 30€ for a steak and you don't get anything with it, not even a salad leaf. But we ordered sides... Unfortunately. The fries were so small, broken into pieces, you couldn't even pick them and the potatoes were tasteless. Overall, considering the bill of around 300€, I can say I would never waste my money in this place again. Thanks to the waiter that looked sincerely sorry when we gave him our feedback and offered us a 50% discount on the 2 dishes we tried, but didn't eat entirely because of the bad quality.More

it was quite quiet on a Tuesday night, which made for a quiet atmosphere. The service was excellent, and staff pleasant. The Tomahawk steak was insanely good, I wish I could have eaten 2! Good wine, the prices were reasonable off the menu, expect to...pay more if you choose a special steak.... and that is worth it. Cooked perfectly, I would definitely go backMore

Friends and family had been walking by this place ever since it opened and we finally decided to check it out. Place wasn't too busy (which I suspect might change as it continues to establish itself). This is a steakhouse through and through so if...you're not in the mood for steak look elsewhere. The steaks were all cooked perfectly and the taste was phenomenal. They steaks stand on their own and do not need any kind of sauce or seasoning. The short rib was the absolute highlight of the show though. Will be coming back and ordering it again soon. Also got a 30oz steak to share which was also cooked perfectly. A little on the pricy side - but I have no complaints about the meal or food quality.More

Although the staff is kind and the restaurant has a great hipster vibe the wonderful cuts of beef that were shown to us were not the pieces of beef that were actually served to us. Neither did the waiter asked us what our preference for...cooking was. We ordered 2 cuts, a strip and a tomahawk. The very expensive tomahawk steak turned out too cooked and parts of the beautiful meat had turned into coal which made it inedible. The response of the restaurant was, this is how we cook our meat......More

After a business trip to Amsterdam, one of my colleagues recommended i visit this place. When we arrived we was glad we booked a table as the restaurant was already busy. There was big ageing cabinets in the entrance as you arrive showing large pieces...of beef of different breeds and cuts of cows. we was greeted and sat at our table the server informed us the cuts on the butchers board was aged in those cabinets so you can always see what you want to eat in a few weeks time. We ordered a crocket and steak tartare to start and a Tbone and a Rib(around 3e per ounce) aged between 4 and 5 weeks a few sides to share. Whilst you wait you can see the open kitchen preparing your food. The drinks menu was very extensive but we stuck to a couple of bottle of wine suggested by the server which where delicious and complimented the food very well. Its not the cheapest restaurant but worth it for the overall experienc and atmosphere ill be back on my next visit to amsterdamMore

We visited with 15 guys and had reserved table beforehand. It was the first dinner in the trip and it did not dissapoint. There is a chalk drawn board at wall - which lets you know what steaks are available (by Oz and price is...roughly 3€/per Oz). Now we ended up selecting 6 (3x Strips & 3x Tomahawks) steaks, multiple sides and wines. You can see the chefs working all the time, which brings the atmosphere up and let's you see the kitchen putting great efforts. The staff was on point, they got hunch when you want GT's and speed of the was good as well. Definitely recommended.More

Came here in July 2019 with 9 other friends/family, we wanted to eat a tasty cow and a friend suggested we try beefsteak club. If you're in the mood of a delicious steak make sure to check this place out. We ordered the tomahawk and...ribeye along with sides and it was more than enough for us (keep in mind 2 others had their own steak). The steak was cooked perfectly, they charred the sides of the steak to give a nice crunch as you bite into the meat. It was also seasoned perfectly for me, no need to add in any extra salt or pepper. We also felt the service was great too, we went on a Friday night at about 7:00 pm and it was a bit busy (it is a small restaurant), you may want to make reservationsMore

We first ate here last September and are sitting in the restaurant NOW, having had a brilliant meal. Great service, great decor and amazing steaks - we had the 21 oz strip, but could have had anything up to a 71 oz tomahawk! Wonderful steaks,...great beef dripping fries and delicious red cabbage. Coupled with a well thought out wine selection, The Beef Steak Club is THE place for steaks in Amsterdam. We will be back!More
