My wife’s verdict on this great restaurant; Excellent. And she’s a good judge, being a total foodie. She devoured a delicious salad to start, followed by a superb Coq au Vin. I didn’t get a word out of her whilst she was busy with the...More

Great little restaurant with very attentive service and a € saving three course menu. I was lucky to snag a table with very little advanced notice. I will definitely be happy to return on my next trip to Amsterdam.

Dutch classics, must try. No need for a reservation, walk-ins welcome. Beer and wine served here as well.

great welcome, nice service and plates. Highly recommended place for the work done. Maybe pushing people to drink a bit too much but food makes the balance

4 of us dined here on a Saturday night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended if you are looking for excellent food in a casual setting. Menu is short but varied and includes fish and meat of the day specials (cost about 23 euro each)....More

We had an early dinner and were the first table seated at 6pm. The ambiance is quaint. The restaurant was filled by 7pm. Despite a small staff and a full dining room, the service was good but not overly attentive. We ordered the three course...More

We had a celebration that we needed to do at some restaurant and we chose Harmsen. It was a great choice — the service, the food and the atmosphere were purely amazing! We didn't regret our decision a single second.

Chef Olaf Harmsen serves up a creative and well-priced menu in the Rembrandtplein area of Amsterdam. We enjoyed a three-course, prix fixe, meal (soup of the day, a pick of one of three entrees, and a dessert) for €29.50. I enjoyed the corn soup with...More

Some guests call our restaurant 'Little Paris'. We love this friendly nickname. The atmosphere in our restaurant is like a cosy French bistro. Restaurant Harmsen is located in one of the atmospheric and historical streets in the centre of Amsterdam: Utrechtsestraat. Come in for a drink at the bar, sit down and enjoy our mediterranean menu with a touch of the oriental kitchen. We buy our ingredients daily fresh from the food market. Do you love wines? Than you will surely find your favorite wine in our comprehensive wine list. See you soon!
