We chose Broodje Bert for lunch after reading some great reviews. A tiny sandwich shop on a corner, with most of their tables outside by the canal. Good selection of hot and cold sandwiches and salads, all really fresh and yummy. "Melted" sandwiches are open on soft fresh baked baguettes, and their BLT is deconstructed! (Made it a bit awkward... This cute sandwich shop was on the corner near our hotel NH Amsterdam City Centre. With only a few seats inside, it has overflow seating on the sidewalk and across the street by the canal. We enjoyed sitting inside at the counter with a glass window where we watched the incredibly efficient staff of three prepare both hot and cold... More

Broodje Bert is a neighborhood gem located on the Singel. We ate on the canal side of the street. The service was quick and the food was fantastic. They have a wide variety of hot and cold sandwiches, uitsmijters (think open-faced sandwich with a fried egg, ham, and cheese) and salads. It was also affordable but be advised that they... More

Stopped here for breakfast - it was delicious! I had a deconstructed BLT, and my daughter had a deconstructed ham and cheese croissant (by that I mean, the filling is next to the bread). The fresh OJ was delicious. Quaint little cafe by the bridge. Enjoyable and not touristy. We took our toddler and it was fine because she's happy... More

A real favourite place to eat - a tiny cafe - but it has the most amazing sandwiches ( my fav is goats cheese , honey & walnuts!!) We have sat inside & watched people cycling in the snow over the neighbouring bridge - but also sat outside on the tables & chairs right next to the canal !

We stayed at a hotel around the corner and dined here twice for breakfast. Service is fast, friendly, breakfast is huge and delicious. Price is great, and you can sit right on the canal. A great find!

We ate dinner here tonight and not only was delicious but it cost under 17 euros for two people. We ordered two BLTs (bacon, lettuce, tomato sandwiches) and two drinks. The BLTs were the most unique BLTs we have ever eaten. The meat was more like pancetta than American bacon and it was accompanied by fresh, warm, soft, baguette bread... More

Lovely breakfast. Good friendly service. Large portions but tasted very good. No tables inside as more of a bench set up but great for people watching.
