Been here once in a while in my three year stay in Amsterdam. The sister restaurant at Lindengracht is good too. Tried the tuna, duck and other seasonal menu before. Homemade truffle cream chocolate is good too. Service is always good and friendly. Restaurant is small but cosy. Food is consistently good. Reasonable price. Good variety of good wines. A... More

As there were 16 of us visiting Amsterdam, we ordered our 3 course dunner in advance. It was all excellent, especially the starters, a selection of tastes served on tiered plates for us to help ourselves. Staff were great, and when I told them that I could not have the delicious but very sweet dessert (diabetes) they brought me strawberries... More

We found this place through ever-reliable Trip Advisor, but soon realised that – through out own fault entirely – we’d gone to its nearby ‘sister' restaurant, 'Vlaming Eten & Drinken'. A short walk and we reached the proper one. A really good find, with a lovely atmosphere, very cosy and comfortable, and very classy without being at all fussy. Traditional... More

This restaurant is as excellent as a restaurant gets! Located right on the canal in the middle of Amsterdam, the interior and exterior are beautifully appointed. The food is delicious, portions are perfect and the staff is so friendly. We enjoyed a beautiful dinner here, never felt rushed and had wonderful conversations with everyone seated around us (it's that kind... More

We had an excellent meal at Vlaming which was recommended by the concierge at our Amsterdam hotel. It was really quite good and some of the dishes were outstanding. I wasn't all that impressed with the steak served as a main course, but the soup and several of the vegetable courses were delicious. What I remember most about Restaurant Vlaming... More

Our hotel recommended Vlaming and we ate here on our first night in Amsterdam. We got in late on a Sunday afternoon so I just wanted a reservation somewhere easy and close to the hotel but Vlaming completely exceeded our expectations. It’s a cosy space with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. I don’t eat red meat that often,... More

We enjoyed our dinner here during one of our first nights in Amsterdam. The service was very attentive and our meals--a Dutch ribeye and a Fruits de Mer--were quite good. Atmosphere was also pleasant. Why not a 5? Because we went to two other restaurants we were just a little more wowed by in Amsterdam. But this is still a... More

Staff are very friendly and food has quick service. Limited menu but delicious. Small bites appetizer is perfect for two as advertised. I got the Hamburger, which was good but the meat was a different mixture than an american burger, perhaps with sausage or liver mixed in? Value depends on waht you get. They had an asperagus main course for... More

People here were very friendly, but food was just ok. Nothing special. Good soup, meat tasteless, good salad.

Dear guest, it's sad to see that we did not deliver what you expected after, most probably, reading all excellent reviews we received the last 5 years. Just to reply to your remark "meat tasteless": last week the chef/my son introduced a new menu with a lot of special meat, slowly cooked in "sous vide". Like Hereford steak from Argentina,... More
