There are several types of five stars: this one is truly special. A wonderful location (ok, not the only one in a city full of bridges and canals) a good choice in menu, excellent meat, great dessert. The main difference though is in the human side, Natalie was everything that you can ask from someone who sits in a restaurant:... More

Spent our second night in Amsterdam dining at Restaurant Vlaming. Again, extremely convenient to the Hotel Toren. Had reservations through the hotel and were seated immediately. Wonderful ambience in the interior and a great staff--very courteous. Everyone speaks English in Amsterdam--very helpful. Among the 6 of us had the carpaccio/rib eye/duck breast/and the boneless spare ribs. Everything was prepared perfectly.... More

We took some new friends with us on this occasion to our favourite restaurant in Amsterdam and they loved it as much as we do. The wine, the food and the amazing homemade Limoncello, everything was 100% perfect as always at Brasserie Vlaming. Thanks and see you again sometime soon.

We enjoyed our meal at Vlaming, and loved the house made limencello! We came back in the evening several times just for that. Service was good, food was good, loation very convenient to our flat, which was just around the corner. Highly recommended.

Been here once in a while in my three year stay in Amsterdam. The sister restaurant at Lindengracht is good too. Tried the tuna, duck and other seasonal menu before. Homemade truffle cream chocolate is good too. Service is always good and friendly. Restaurant is small but cosy. Food is consistently good. Reasonable price. Good variety of good wines. A... More

As there were 16 of us visiting Amsterdam, we ordered our 3 course dunner in advance. It was all excellent, especially the starters, a selection of tastes served on tiered plates for us to help ourselves. Staff were great, and when I told them that I could not have the delicious but very sweet dessert (diabetes) they brought me strawberries... More

We found this place through ever-reliable Trip Advisor, but soon realised that – through out own fault entirely – we’d gone to its nearby ‘sister' restaurant, 'Vlaming Eten & Drinken'. A short walk and we reached the proper one. A really good find, with a lovely atmosphere, very cosy and comfortable, and very classy without being at all fussy. Traditional... More

This restaurant is as excellent as a restaurant gets! Located right on the canal in the middle of Amsterdam, the interior and exterior are beautifully appointed. The food is delicious, portions are perfect and the staff is so friendly. We enjoyed a beautiful dinner here, never felt rushed and had wonderful conversations with everyone seated around us (it's that kind... More

We had an excellent meal at Vlaming which was recommended by the concierge at our Amsterdam hotel. It was really quite good and some of the dishes were outstanding. I wasn't all that impressed with the steak served as a main course, but the soup and several of the vegetable courses were delicious. What I remember most about Restaurant Vlaming... More
