Being a Canadian living in the Netherlands for 5 years, I miss my poutine. So when I heard from a friend that they served poutine, I had to have it. There really aren’t any places, at least that I know of, that actually have poutine...on their menu. I finally got to go in February for brunch with the other half. We both ordered the poutine (he has tried many a poutine with me on trips back to Canada) and I also decided to have a Bloody F*cked (first time drinking absinthe). The poutine was surprisingly really good! The cheese was on point, as was the gravy flavour. It could have done with a bit more gravy, in my humble opinion, but I also didn’t get any extra toppings (there are a lot of options), so perhaps if I had, it would have been even better! As a Canadian, I approve this poutine, and a shot of absinthe with it gives you a little pep to your step for an afternoon stroll ☺️More

It was Sunday late morning/early afternoon, so what does one need? Brunch! I had heard good things about G’s for brunch so we decided to check it out. Oh what a Bloody Mary menu with so many hilarious puns (my favorite being “bloody wrong: zzzzzzzzz...this one is served without alcohol”). The staff was very friendly and the drinks and food did not disappoint. My husband is a chicken and waffle snob (good Midwest boy) and he was very satisfied. He noted the chicken was not the best he ever had but solid. Only a little overcooked/crispy but the meat was still tender and juicy. I gobbled up my meal and was very satisfied with all the fresh ingredients from the Habibi. Prices were a little higher than I would have given credit for, but the puns and amazing gansta atmosphere ultimately won us over. Definitely a place we will be returning to for a satisfying boozy brunch!More

Nice relaxing interior, not busy, friendly staff who knew the menu and took the time to explain it. The food offer is ok for the money, Amsterdam is overpriced anyway. For what it’s worth here’s a few constructive comments. The Henny Penny has the potential...to be an outstanding breakfast - poach your eggs to order, now I know that when you’re busy that’s difficult and I can see it’s a small kitchen which makes life difficult, but when you are quiet this is not a big task but the name of the dish leads me to expect that I’m gonna get a nice fresh product. Crisp up that streaky bacon, sauté the spinach in a little salt and pepper (perhaps a touch of nutmeg), coat the chicken properly (double dip it so it has a crunchy coating) personally I would use a Buttermilk, it adds so much flavour (understanding people’s diet requirements here so in a way I see why you don’t) and keeps the chicken moist. If you are going to use breast and not thigh then the coating is even more important. Use a ‘fresh bagel’ I ordered it separately so I note that it doesn’t form part of the dish but a stale product is not acceptable, and pile on the hollandaise, there just wasn’t enough to be honest. Waffles with chicken was well received but it’s ‘Amsterdam’ so please work on that batter mix because it wasn’t as light and crispy as it should be. Overall good effort in a cramped kitchen, just lacking the love.More

Visited as part of a birthday trip to Amsterdam. I found this place after reading an article on the best places to go for brunch in Amsterdam and wasn't disappointed. The food was excellent and the decor/menus were cool. Oh, and the bloody marys! Gs...offered exactly what we needed after an early morning flight. I will definitely be back if in Amsterdam again.More

A group of 8 of us turned up late to our booking, due to a mix up with our uber (and it was a late night booking anyway). Best Bloody Mary's and Espresso Martinis and the food is amazing. The guys really took care of...us and gave us recommendations for where to carry on the night. A real hidden gem for now, but I have no doubt it'll become really popular once people catch on.More

Cool little spot with every kind of Bloody Mary imaginable. Impressive to watch the bartender. We had a delicious brunch and the kimchi was super good.

Chicken and waffles were great. Kiwi waitress was hot in a very passive-aggressive way. We'll be back!!
