We discovered this via Trip Advisor on our last night in Amsterdam. It was only a short walk from our hotel and offered tasty food, friendly service and food that is more affordable and varied than our hotel. We had vegetable samosa, chicken jhalfrezi, steamed rice and garlic naan all served at the same time. Not too filling, very tasty and most enjoyable.

We are big Indian curry fans and love to try out different restaurants. The butter chicken we always order and was sweet and very good in taste at the Mount Everest Tandoori. The chicken Jalfrezi was indicated in the menu with 3 peppers and lived up to expectations. The curry was quite spicy, but still very tasteful. The surprise for us was the Baingan curry; an eggplant curry so full of flavour that we wiped the dish clean with the simple and delicious naan bread.
Very much enjoyed the currys of Mount Everest Tandoori! Definitely a place in our top 2!

We walked from the Holiday Inn express, which I do highly recommend. I believe it’s brand new and compared to the amenities of some of the other places we’ve stayed in Europe, this place does a fabulous job. But this is about the restaurant. We were able to walk, as I said And my husband and I are big fans of Indian food. We suggested it unfortunately. The staff was halfway welcoming, and the food was less than halfway good. We ordered the Nepal lamb dish and it was tough and rubbery with little flavor. The chicken korma, which we are very familiar with, was full of sugar and cinnamon and did not have the juicy tenderness we expect. The naan was good. We really wanted to like this place. Maybe you will have better luck.

I was looking for a good halal restaurant with my wife. We were more than pleased when this restaurant exceeded our expectations. The mixed grill was amazing and we even got to choose our own spice level on the lamb curry. The staff was so helpful and made our experience even better. Definitely a recommendation.

My girlfriend and I went to this restaurant on valentines day. It was crowded (only one table was free at that time) and the waiting time was long (like 30-40 mins for the main dish). But when the food arrived, it was worth it. We really liked chicken momos and lamb kebab. The main dish came along with the rice. The server was very polite and friendly and we also received a complimentary drink which was great. It's a bit pricy restaurant in my opinion, but overall, the food was great.

The staff was so very nice! The Food selection was excellent. Since we had a larger group of 5 including 2 small children we made reservations and were asked if we had them upon arrival even though the place wasn’t quite full. After a starter of a garlic and cheese naan for the table, I went with the house recommendation of Chicken Choylla and my wife had the Shrimp Masala, while my daughters shared the chicken Korma. All that plus a nice bottle of wine for less than €100 and the staff brought us extra rice when they saw us running low. All the dishes were delicious and not a bit was left in the bowls even though we were stuffed!

I really love this place. The place is renovated and looks more beautiful. The food is as awesome as it always has been. Once again I tried the momo and it did not disappoint me. The lamb chhoylq was out of this world, perfect spices and perfectly cooked. I can’t get enough of this place. Can’t wait to get there again.

I went with my boyfriend couple of days ago. We started with some really nice delicious appetizers and the went on eating butter chicken with rice and spicy madras lamb curry. They were both mind blowing. The only thing about this was a lo ger waiting time but with those delicious meals, I can certainly understand that. Highly recommend going at least once.

Ordered here two time and both times the delivery guy / owner is starting an argument. Not believing me I was the one who ordered and profiling in a huge way. The unbelievable racist way of handeling this is mind blowing. Sorry for not fitting in your demography. Never again! Not recommended.

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Although it is slightly out of the way from the centre it was worth the trip. Considering we had chips with almost every meal during our weekend in amsterdam it was a nice change to find a good curry place. Although the menu was small and they only had the basic sort of curries such as tikka masala, madras, korma etc it was still lovely. I ordered the madras as i love quite a spicy curry,i was worried it would be abit too hot but i was pleasantly surprised. Lovely tender chicken and the flavours in the sauce were amazing. Best madras i have had, also the onion bhajis were fresh and so nice, as well as the garlic naan. I'm always hesitant about going for a curry abroad as in the UK i am a curry connoisseur and would quite happily eat it for my breakfast lunch and dinner. This place was lovely, i would recommend.

Everything was above average to very good but nothing was perfect. The service was relatively slow, but the waiter was polite and friendly. The food was very good, but I can think of better Indian restaurants in other countries. I definitely didn't regret going but I might have tried something else.

Was really delicious food! Lovely setting. Brought my dad here for his 73rd birthday (me and my siblings travelling from Australia and London). My dad had been to this restaurant previously when it was a Chinese and then a Vietnamese before that. He was REALLY impressed by this latest incarnation of the restaurant as a Nepalese/Indian. It's basically on his doorsteps and he said he will be back again soon, as will we next time we come to visit! We loved all the food especially the momos and the pokhara chicken and lamb. Had a wonderful evening. Thank you so much!

We came in a family after a busy day of travelling, made our orders. We got nothing at all, not even starters after 20 min. We asked when do we get something, they said in 30 more min.
50 minutes to wait for our food is unreasonable! One of the worst places we've been.
Stay clear of this really bad place.

First but certainley nottt the last time visiting this restaurant. We had a blast in the cosy and relaxed vibe. Our host Kalpana was very nice and friendly, making sure everything was on point. The food tasted great as well! Looking forward to the next visit!
