Vinkeles is housed in an old bakery; which was set up in 1787 by the Regents of the Catholic Church, who at the time owned the building. The bakery flourished until 1811 and guests still can see the original ovens, which were discovered intact during restoration work.Echoing the décor of the hotel, Executive Chef Dennis Kuipers’ menu combines the traditional and the modern. The dishes served in Vinkeles show Kuipers’ love of the contemporary French cuisine. He combines the freshest ingredients to produce a menu that is delicious and unique to Vinkeles. In 2009 restaurant Vinkeles was awarded a Michelin star.

Amazing dinner

We booked this as a special treat for the start of our holiday. Having read the many great reviews we were excited and hoped it wasn't over hyped. From the moment we arrived we could not fault the service, impeccable, without faff. We had booked the chefs taster menu and were so glad we did. Each... read more

Went here for my60 th.birthday meal. The whole evening was superb. Chose the 9 course tasting menu(which ended up as10 course) plus wines. The 3 amuse bouche were intriguing, the best a pearl containing gin, tonic and octopus The tasting menu and wines were explained in fine detail and were excellent.I enjoyed everyone with special mention for the pigeon. They treated me... More

We just had an amazing evening. It was so delightful and enjoyable. The Chef and the all those who contributed to the evening made it one of our most enjoyable meals ever. The food (we had the 5 course menu) was light, adventurous and inventive. Each mouthful a delicious surprise. It is beautifully crafted food and worthy of the high... More

We chose the five course tasting menu with the accompanying wines for each course. Both the food and the wine were interesting on several levels - first the taste, second the experience and third the knowledgeable and pleasant exchanges with the waiters and sommelier. We only disagreed with one wine selection which was changed immediately. At the beginning of service... More

I am really not sure how to describe the experience we had in this perfect place to celebrate a birthday. First of all we stayed in the Hotel and having spent a day walking Amsterdam we had rested and were running an hour late. Not a problem, they extended our time and whilst we ended up being the last diners... More

I stayed at the hotel that Vinkeles is located in so I booked it for our first night in Amsterdam. The waiters were great, the food was good but there was a very limited menu. The amuse bouche were fantastic and very memorable (more so than the menu choices) so this took my rating up to a 5 or it... More

The degustation menu was to die for. The matched wines were all new to us and we even managed to park our shock at no Australian wine on an extremely international wine list. One of our party was vegetarian; I think they used every vegetable ever grown to deliver a degustation experience. Take a small personal loan and book for... More

WELL........................no words can describe, just go and check by yourself. One and only landslide in such a perfection is black truffle instead of white one, definitely not adequate. Worth the trip to Amsterdam.

Beautiful restaurant! Exceptional service, all the details as expected, the food was beautiful and delicious, however I believe from that experience I am not a huge fan of the Dutch quisine BUT that is my taste... The food WAS ALL cooked perfect and seasoned perfect, and very satisfying but very different to say French fine quisine and without trying to... More

I went to this restaurant for a dinner with a friend several months ago. Food was exquisite, service was all you could wish for. In this case, price corresponds to the value - they use exquisite products to prepare their meals. Chef's signature scallops and dover sole were delicious. Highly recommended!
