Sooo... Went to bagels and beans. I got the Vegan Butchers "chicken" bagel and was really looking forward to be blown away. I was not. It felt like a total ripoff. Almost 7 euros for completely dry, small and tasteless bagel. I had to check out the menu if it was missing something - it was not. Not a good... More

We were lucky to be staying in the same block as a Bagels and Beans. We had daily espresso drinks and also had breakfast and lunch on a couple of occasions. Their bagel combos were fresh and creative and quite yummy. It was great to find other locations throughout the city for our afternoon caffeine boost. We might also add... More

We had a mushroom burger (it was a bagel) and a goat cheese salad. The bagel was super yummie and the portion was good for the price too. The salad had a bit to much honey dressing in it but was otherwise good as well. We also had a juice "everything mixed" that was super tasty so I highly recommend... More

Nice little place with many many choices of bagels and different types of cream cheese is. It is very busy so if you are in a rush it is not a good place to go. There is an outside area to eat as well.

The cafe is cute, it's a nice location (right along the canal and very close to shops and Dam square), and the food is incredible! My friend and I both bought a juice, and then shared two warm bagels ( 1)Goat cheese with honey, walnuts & thyme and 2) Tuna melt made with sustainable tuna with melted cheddar cheese, capers,... Nice place in the museum area. Good coffee and a nice view at the historical Conservatorium Hotel. And if you want to spend some money, the PC hoofdstraat is nearby. .

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
