Went for the nicer wine pairing and was worth it. Acommodated our tight timeline. Recommended by a local.

Food is ok but nothing sophisticated or unexpected. 200€ for 2 (4 courses with pairing, no coffee or any extra) when my pregnant wife only had one glass of wine, is definitely a stretch. This price suggests a one (maybe two) Michelin Stars restaurant, and Utrechtsedwarstafel is quite far from that. It confirms that in Amsterdam, to eat above average,... More

Situated literally across the road from our accommodation at Amstelhuys B&B this was a great experience where the two owners proudly showcase their in depth knowledge of wines cleverly matched to lovingly prepared food. The chef delivers the food to the table personally and explains the processes involved in producing the meal. Incredible and gave the experience a further dimension.... More

The food is very good, although we found the main course and dessert somewhat in contrast with the very delicate dishes before that. Good wines with explanation. Possibility of a nice wine pairing. Not cheap. In my opinion the interior is a bit outdated.

After 2.5 years in Amsterdam I have only 3 other restaurants of this standard which combine the 4 key ingredients of a great dinning experience;excellent food, service, ambience and wine. The restaurant has been owned and operated by the same person for 20 years. Someone is passionate the food and wine they present and the environment it is served in... More

What an experience! Show up and be swept away by 5 courses of dinner and a paired wine for each...lovely and completely different. Be sure to state your preferences (especially if you have issues with Veal or foie gras). You won't find this type of experience in very many places. We loved it!

We recently visited to celebrate a birthday and the night did not disappoint! The food was imaginative and tasty...and the wine pairings were spot-on to complement each course. We enjoyed the attention to detail as well as the stories about how many of the wines were selected. Thanks again for a great night of fabulous food and amazing wine!

Interesting tasting menu with paired wines. 5 courses and 7 wines for 110e is a nice deal too. Nice staff. Worth the visit, you won't regret.

Good tasty experience on a business trip. Full house on a weekday so make sure you book a table. Nice combination of food (degustacion menu) and wines. Also the restaurant is located in a not too touristic area of the centre of Amsterdam.

On a recent trip to Amsterdam, we found De Utrechtsedwardstafel. What a treat. We decided to go for the 4 courses, but were not quite sure what the 5th course would have been, as you have no menu card or other clue as you follow these gastronomes on a safari through one joy after another on a journey I will... Description
Within strolling distance from Theatre Carré there is the stage of Hans Verbeek and Igor Sens, the two culinary artists from restaurant Utrechtsedwarstafel. Their performance is a ballet of wine and food. Indulge yourself with the culinary compositions by Igor the Chef and the wines of Sommelier Hans. An adventurous evening awaits. The concept of Utrechtsedwarstafel is straightforward and easily explained. Igor purchases the freshest produce of the season and subsequently composes fine delicate dishes for a multiple course menu. Just mention the number of courses you wish to eat.For every menu Hans creates the perfect wine arrangement. Every course is accompanied by the right match of wine. However, the arrangements vary with respect to the complexity and quality. The bare essence of Utrechtsedwarstafel is that every course is a fertile marriage of wine and food. Its fruits bear your palate a sheer joy.
