Just outside the south entrance of Vondelpark this cosy nice cafe/bar/restaurant provides a great selection of (Belgian) beers, snacks and dinner options. With good enough weather one can sit outside at the large seating section, or even at the tables along the canal. Service is good and fast, and the snacks are great. I haven't tried the dinner options but... More

Although you're in Amsterdam, this s Belgian bar and restaurant. It's so nice sitting outside in the area of vondelpark with cool beers from Belgium and tapas from Spain. Super service and a must in the area

Lovely to sit on the canal side with a chilled rose wine, watching the boats, bikes and pedestrians crossing from Vondelpark side after a busy day. Despite no reservation on a busy evening, a table was available after a short wait. Service was quick and attentive with a recommendation for a tasty, chilled Belgian beer. I thoroughly enjoyed the smoked... More

Loved this local hangout so much we ate there 3 times! Kind waitstaff, well-prepared food. Had an amazing chicken salad for lunch, daughter loved the burger. For dinner we enjoyed smoked oysters, beet carpacchio, and sampled the draught beers. They have a few menus printed in English, but mostly this is a place frequented by locals.

Just walked by and the terrace looked nice and cosy for a diner for two. The service is friendly and very professional; they pay attention, even if it is busy. The salad Nicoise was eaten as starter and can really recommend this. The rosé wine ( France) was also very pleasant. Another recommendation is the cheese cake ( from local... More

This is a place where the locals eat and have a nice Belgium beer. There is a very big tarrace and it is at a point where there is always something to see. Boats, thousands of cycling commutors between 16.00-19.00. It is just 100 meters away from the entrance of the Vondelpark but not very well known by tourists. They... More

This small, neighborhood pub excels when it comes to great food carefully prepared and served, plus a good selection of Belgian beers, and congenial local patrons. Right on the Schinkel canal, relaxing and fun atmosphere -- open late into the evening, which is convenient for those staying in a nearby B&B as we were doing. Not at all 'touristy,' which... More

Nice selection of interesting Belgian beers. The service was quick and friendly, even close to closing time, and the food was very good (I had the Gent chicken stew, but the pumpkin-coconut soup sounded intriguing too). Too cold for the patio, but I bet it's nice in warmer weather.
