Pompadour is a classy chocolatier located on Huidenstraat between Keizersgracht and Herensgracht canals. Here you can find delicious chocolates and tearoom for cakes, coffee and tea. Opening hours are 10am to 6pm (M-F), 9am to 6pm (Sat) and 12pm to 6pm (Sun). We visited during a recent trip to Amsterdam and purchased a small bag of dark chocolate covered orange... More

I purchased what I thought was a small sponge cake only to realise it was the most delightful thing I have ever tasted in my 40 years on this earth (and I like cake a lot). The caramelised firmer outer layer and soft inside was a match made in heaven to my taste buds. It was so good that its... More

My husband and I stumbled upon this place as we were walking around the neighborhood where are hotel is located. We picked up some lovely pastries and chocolates and they were wonderful. Our second trip back to Amsterdam, we made sure we stopped by for some lovely confectioners. We would highly recommend this little shop where you can stop, sit... More

The chocolates were good, but they tasted no different than chocolate you can buy at a chain supermarket. There are better chocolatiers in Amsterdam that offer more decadent, rich tasting chocolate. I also agree with other reviewers that the staff were not very friendly.

Very good chocolate but not cheap. The staff did their job but that was about it, no enthusiasm or recommendations about what to pick

a small local tearoom with the most outrageously delicious selection of on-site made pastries - either to eat there or to take away. One side of the shop is dedicated to their baked goods while the other side displays their chocolates (in my opinion, some of the best ever). We never fail to make a stop here - a delight... More

My friend and I had a chocolate cake and a matcha cake. As a chocolate shop, their chocolate cake is superb - artful chocolate shell, chocolate mousse inside, and moist chocolate cake. the matcha mousse cake has nice texture too, but we thought it might be better if the tea flavor is more pronounced. We're too full to try the... More

Phenomenal pastries and chocolates. They have one savory on the menu a classic quiche Lorraine, so you could make a lunch of it like we did. The chocolate mousse was so good we came back a few days later to have another. We took the delicious chocolates home with us.

Thank Christopher B
