Sunday 19 of February around 8 o clock, decide to go and eat in Amsterdam with my friend. Find this restaurant that seems very attractive from outside, we walk in and are given a table, once sat down we waited around 10 minutes to be given a menu (because we asked) by a waitress that had walked past us at... Fantastic option in Amsterdam Downtown to enjoy well cooked meat. We chose the classics 1.2 kg option, together with empanadas, grilled prawn and tempura starters. Really enjoyable food, nice ambience, great meat out of the cooking and Spanish Ribera wine la planta. Great option if you want to succeed in your Amsterdam visit.

The restaurant is very nice but I believe it is overpriced for the food. I ordered a speciality steak and it can out without being seasoned. Saying this the piece of steak was a good cut of meat but it was tasteless due to the seasoning. All in all I would not recommend or would not return.

We went there for lunch with a reservation. The steaks were outstanding. The meat was very tender mouthwatering. We were a bit off from the starters but the service with a smile made up for it. Greatly Recommended if you stop by Amsterdam.

We visited for an early dinner and were impressed. Staff welcoming and friendly, food good (especially the mussels for starter and the steak for main). Nice atmosphere - very good value for money.

I've been here twice and totally enjoyed it every time. I would recommend Rib-eye and/or Sirloin steak with mushrooms as side dish. Definitely try one of their sauces as well.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
