4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Loved the staff here, very fast and kind. Steaks are tasty and tender, restaurant could use a good refurbishment. Crowded and about 30 euros a head. We go to Cau in Guildford in the UK also, nice concept.

Had a very good lunch here yesterday, went for the Wild Rice Super Food salad which was a cut above the average (mostly dull) salads served these days. The 'small' was a great size for lunch. Washed down with a very good Rose wine. Sat on the street so didn't get to look around inside, but it looks great on... More

The steaks here are excellent. The service is very good and we all had an excellent meal. About 45 euro a head, including wine, beers and lots of sides.

I've been eating here for the last 6 years whenever I visit amsterdam (2-3 times a year) and so far I always left satisfied. (try chunky chips with you meat!)

Two Rib-eye steaks that were cooked to perfection. Highly recommend. If you're a big eater you might need a second portion of chips as the size isn't big. We're not so it didn't bother us one bit!

Recommended by our hotel as there are so many steak places in Amsterdam. Just off dam square on a busy road with restaurants and bars etc. Obviously popular with tourists. We sat outside seemed a little cooler , chairs and seating comfy although all quite close together. Wine rose which was Argentinian Malbec was nice and beer on draft good.... More

One of the best steak houses I have visited worldwide! Excellent steak matched by excellent and quick service. Staff are friendly too. We had fillet steak and it was delicious (can't say the same about the onion rings though)! Located of the Dam square.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
