Went out for dinner with a group of 7 people, choosing different main courses.
The fish of the day, the Cod fried on the skin, was cooked just right, the same applied to the Chateaubriand, which we ordered for three people, so that is also possible. Disappointing in terms of taste and price.
Food arrives quickly, service is very friendly and attentive, but the food lacks taste
We were 4 people where we shared units of small bowl of fries and lettuce!
So an extra order arrived quickly, but was then credited!
Not really neat!

We had eaten at the Hemingway restaurant several times before and were as usual very satisfied with service, food and price. Coming from Germany this is the cozy place one is looking for to relax and enjoy an evening. Thanks again. We'll come back!

We made a reservation for 7:30 PM but arrived 10 minutes later. Upon arrival, the waitress politely asked if we had made a reservation, after which she then wanted to guide us to the (the only available) table. This was abruptly stopped by her manager who was standing behind the bar. We were very unfriendly asked to wait outside because the table had already been given to guests who were waiting outside. We were quite shocked by the reaction. This was also made known, it was not intended that way, okay fine... Then it was said that this was indicated when making the reservation, while this was not the case. We were informed that they were quite full and there was no room at 7:00 PM, but there was room at 7:30 PM. It may happen that things take a long time, but then use a friendlier way of communicating it. Received a prosecco on the house for the inconvenience. Then ordered the dishes, 3 (same) dishes were correct, but we had not ordered the fourth dish. Sorry again for the inconvenience, the right dish will arrive in 3 minutes. We betreuren je slechte recentie, wij zijn van mening dat de avond iets anders is gelopen als hoe jij het beschrijft. We hebben er alles aan gedaan om jullie zo snel als mogelijk aan tafel te plaatsen. Dit is ook binnen 5 minuten gelukt. Aangezien een andere tafel buiten zat te wachten zou het niet eerlijk en profesioneel zijn jullie eerder aan tafel te laten gaan. Het verkeerde gerecht is uiteraard van de rekening gehaald en daar is wel degelijk een excuus bij gemaakt. Het verkeerde gerecht was met 5 minuten op tafel inclusief met extra friet. We geven deze feedback omdat in onze ogen deze recentie niet geheel terecht is.

Randomly passing by and after a very good glass of wine immediately reserved a table for dinner.
It was nice and warm, you could eat outside.
Unfortunately, the service seemed a bit overloaded. It all went on for a long time, just until you could order. The bottle of wine stood around for quite a long time and nobody brought you to us.
The food itself was good, simple, typical Dutch but well cooked.
We order some more bread with the prawns, it took over 10 minutes for it to come and the remaining prawns were cold in the meantime.
To the main course there was a very small bowl of mayo. That was just enough for 4-5 fries. We ordered again, but unfortunately never got redelivered.
Even though the staff were nice and friendly and you could see that they understood their job, the long waits were not really conducive.

Yesterday I went to Hemingway's for dinner with my girlfriend.
It's been a long time since I had such a good meal!
Bruchetta was delicious. The bread was as fresh as you could imagine, and had plenty of tasty chunks of tomato and I think pickled red onions on it.
The sirloin steak as a main course was so tender and tasty. It melted in my mouth, cutting it was like running a hot knife through butter.
Owners are very friendly and we enjoy coming there. Service top notch, and Tripel Karmeliet on tap, great evening!

Nice place to visit as an appetizer before a visit to the musical. It was Sunday in the South, delicious food (Chateubriand), sweet and friendly service, we were early on a Saturday evening because of the performance in Tegelen. Very nice, especially when we met Niels, a former acquaintance from the Maastricht fashion world, and now co-owner of Hemmingway 🤗🤩

Very friendly service, tasty food, especially the onion soup was delicious.
Unfortunately it was not possible to order a large mug, but they would look into whether that was possible in the future.
The atmosphere was very pleasant, partly due to the nice decor and the nice music.

We were together for an afternoon to the city after a busy week, when we spontaneously thought we would have a bite to eat. Arriving at Hemingway, it was immediately checked if we, despite everything being fully reserved, could still take a seat on the terrace... and yes, we could sit down.
Soon enough we both had a glass on the table and picked out something delicious from the beautiful menu. The food was not long in coming; a tasty onion soup, a beautiful entrecote and a delicious piece of sea wolf. It was really super tasty!

Nice place, quick service at first. The wine list was still at the printer, but the staff knew exactly what was available. Food was good, bread delicious, crostini a bit basic. Main courses good and more than sufficient. Desserts fine.

Very well attended restaurant. We were lucky without Reservation to get a table on Monday night.
The service staff were very friendly and two even spoke German, which was helpful with explaining the dishes from the map.
Risotto was really delicious!
Spareribs were good in taste. Could actually have been a little more delicate. French fries deliciously seasoned. Small salad well made.
We were served very well u d friendly, which we liked well after a long drive. Restaurant is located in a small street/pedestrian area. Car we had parked 600m outside.

Beware of the entree step which is a bit steep, but once you are in, you are in for some seriously good food. While in Venlo, try the local specialties, both on beer and food: the Venloos Zoorvleis- a beef stew with vinegar, spices and onions. In season they have venison and Rabbit , both excellent. there are vegetarian options too...I wouldn't miss this one.

Fantastic service. Very attentive and observant and always eager to help you. It is noticeable that the staff enjoy their work and know what they are doing. Food was delicious and fast and a nice extensive menu with good specials. Nice and quiet spot with a nice city terrace, also very nicely decorated inside since the new owners. It looks inviting and the atmosphere is fantastic. Highly recommended!

It's a good Eetcafe, so not haute cuisine more of a bar/restaurant that is so typical of the Netherlands. Food was fine, nothing particularly spectacular but they only had one person serving so it was a little slow. Some range of regional foods, such as Zuurvlees (beef stew) and Mustard Soup. Reasonably priced and had a good guest beer when we visited (it was from the island ofTexel).
