Small, but cute place. Delicious food. Almost everything homemade. Nice and friendly server. Six tables but it kept the server busy running up and down the stairs. We didn’t feel rushed, even though we had 1,5 hours (we were told in advance).
Gustatio is a no frills restaurant, with friendly service and delicious super quality well thought out dishes. The portion sizes are really good value. We enjoyed every single mouthful, especially our starter of pan fried mustard greens topped with burrata cheese.
The last : years i visited this restaurant for more than 20 times. Always exceeding my expectations. A few appetizers (try the cozze with tomato sauce) and lots of ‘primi’ (at least 20 sorts of pasta, gnocchi, risotto). Homemade, very distinctive even compared with many...restaurants I visited in Italy. And don’t forget to finish with a dolce (tiramisu is great). One of the best pasta restaurants in the Netherlands.More
Excellent unpretentious restaurant. Simple foods done exceptionally well. A large range of fresh and dried pasta dishes, the choices all mouth watering. If you love vongole they have it all the time on the specials board. Save room for desserts.....they're delicious.
The owner / host...is relaxed, friendly, and helpful and service is simple and efficient.
Love the food, love the casual relaxed ambiance.....if you love good Italian food .....look no further BUT...be sure to book and avoid disappointment!More
Yes, the place is extremely busy and service a bit hectic - but if you can cope with that you will be able to enjoy 'primo' and 'secondo' courses freshly prepared. The pasta alla vongole was superb, the right bite and a little bit of...red pepper. The portions for the starters and pasta's are more than enough to reload on calories. The usual deserts ( tiramisu/canelloni etc ) are ok. House wines are good quality. Reservations are a must - but be prepared that it might take some time to be seated and served the first course. We can live with that - the young staff does their utmost to make (most) people happy !More
I had heard many good things about this Italian for a long time. I was happy when one of my friends suggested it for lunch. Really nice place. The waiter was great, took his time to explain everything. The food was lovely, will definitely return!...Only one small negative, the windows were quite dirty, unfortunately.More

Thank you very much for your review. On our defense, we have been cleaning the windows, but unfortunately it has been raining for a week straight and is not easy for us to have our professional cleaner coming every other day
This is my favourite Italian restaurant in Groningen, and since I am Italian myself I can really say that all the dishes, from the antipasti to the wide variety of fresh pasta with many different excellent flavours, to the mouth-watering desserts. Really could not recommend...this place more. Make sure to book a table in advance though as it is quite small (but cozy!) and the places fill up fast. Coming here makes me feel a little bit more at home.More
