Dark brown old fashioned bistro feeling for perfect, and I mean Per-fect meat. Although you could choose fish (salmon, trout) as well.

Sometimes one wonders if a TripAdvisor recommendation does increase the prices. Bistro The Bok might be such a case. We had a nicely prepared meal, decent bistro style, but at maybe a 10% higher cost than elsewhere. So we take up the challenge to see if next time in Nijmegen we can beat "The Bok". When eating outside on the... More

Went to De Bok for the first time, it was great! The atmosphere is laid back, nice waitors and good food. I enjoyed an entree of coquilles with salad. Don't forget the bread basket with three sauces (real deal garlic sauce). The salad was very fresh, in lots of restaurants this is served as a decoration which is not supposed... More

This place is popular and has been for a long time. I went there with full expectations, but already knew after coming in that this place wasn't for me. The Tournedos (the owner bought the restaurant for that reason specifically) was in fact amazing. However, the new beer menu mentions autumn beers in spring, you get no privacy, you can... More

This location was suggested by our host. From the outside, it looks like a hole in the wall restraunt. But once you walk inside, it doesnt appear to be much larger. There are maybe 15-20 tables and a few stools at the bar. Don't let the small appearance sway your decision to visit. As soon as you walk in, you... More

Was there last night. Another flag on the map for me. Highly recommend the rib eye, the brown beer. Soak it up and let their fantastic staff look after you.

Came in late on Wednesday and the place was packed but we still managed to get a table for 3 quite quickly. The service was absolutely amazing and the steak was just as good. We all ordered the Tournadoes based on the servers recommendation and it was spot on. The portion size was plenty and came was a nice side... More

We were 4 coming in at about 6:30pm and this place was PACKED. No real waiting list, it just exists in the mind of the waitress. We had a beer an were seated after a while. There is a huge choice in meat and we all chose something different. Everything was delicious! So worth the wait!! Next time I'm back... More

Visited this restaurant on a busy sunday evening. First visit, doesn't look like a bistro, more a "brown pub". They didn't accept reservations but very warm welcome though and we go a table quickly enough. All of us were very satisfied; great meat but I choose the fish. Perfectly prepared scallops and fish combination, only a little misunderstanding because I... More

I really enjoyed the food here, the fish I had was cooked very nicely and tasted great. Maybe not the best choice for a business dinner as the restaurant was fairly noisy.
