After many years of visiting the pub on our last night of holiday this was a disaster. Firstly our booking had been misplaced. We were then told there would still be a table available. We were then IGNORED for 45 min and had to help ourselves to menus. We had to ask if we had been forgotten and we're told... More

We were staying locally but didn't wish to eat at our hotel, We called in without a booking and the staff were very helpful and quick to arrange a table for the four of us. Lovely home cooked honest food, well priced with a very nice atmosphere.

Strolled up from the Dewslake Farm campsite for dinner, had the pizza and a pint deal. They have a great range of craft beers and ciders. The pizzas use a pre-bought base and the veggie toppings were limited but it was ok. The other food on offer looked great, I'd probably opt for something other than the pizza if I... More

Lovely place, some have disliked the decor but I kind of think it goes somehow, you can eat in, or if you want a take out pizza as we did you can either phone ahead or order at the bar and enjoy a pint while waiting (as I did) nice friendly helpful staff. If you are in the area I... More

Popped in here for a bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised. The decor was lovely and there was a good choice of food on the menu. Also, not too expensive! The only thing that let it down was the selection of real ale on tap. The place is quite deceiving as it's a lot bigger inside than it looks... More

Lovely atmosphere, helpful and attentive young staff, lots of veggie options although the pizza and a pint deal for £10 is hard to beat. If you are anywhere in the area visit, you will not be disappointed. I like the quirky, mis-matched style and relaxed feeling, it complements the great food.

We called into this Inn to book a table for that evening. What a great choice this was. Lovely freshly cooked food with a lovely atmosphere. The Home cooked steak and ale pie was so tasty my husband would have loved a hunk of bread to soak up the gravy. I'm sure they would have obliged if he'd asked. I... More

I called in for lunch with my husband and son. The furniture and decor were fantastic as was the food and service. Will definitely go back when we visit the area again.
