Found The Green Man on the way back from Newmarket race course. The staff were excellent, very friendly and very accommodating. Had the rib eye steak which was simply perfect and melted in the mouth. For pudding, had an excellent vanilla cheesecake. Good choice of beers, ales and ciders. An excellent end to a great day, would definitely recommend a... More

Went twice recently, once for Sunday lunch, next time for steak. Both were good offerings with my son saying "best burger ever eaten"

We saw the pub and stopped for a lunchtime snack and were rewarded with three cheerful barmaids who could not have been more helpful. Whilst we were not up to the massive steak meals I can recommend the steak baguettes and the first rate beer.

Traditional gun man's pub so therefore to start no kids menu Smallest rump is 16oz for £24 is steep, and we upgraded to garlic tiger prawns for £7.00 which was complete rip off as only got about 5 prawns and they weren't very big either. Meat was yummy We Tried M&M cheesecake which didn't really taste of anything, I've certainly... More

Stayed after race meeting at Newmarket. The pub is ideally situated for this being a taxi ride away. Room was adequate with good bathroom, but areas had been missed when cleaning i.e. dust on shelves and in corners. Found that towels had been forgotten in bathroom but pub was shut and no staff to ask. Same thing in the morning,... More

Recently went back for lunch at the Green Man - the welcome on arrival was overwhelming and the food of the highest possible standard. Thank you very much indeed to the staff and to you, Jackie. Will come again and offer strongest possible commendation to all.

Really very dissappointed as was recommended but the food was at best average, the service very slow and the decor very 18th century being surrounded by the trophy heads, how very droll indeed.

If you want a top class steak cooked to perfection this is where you would come! The staff are amazing, Richard is an incredible cook and the service is always on point. If you have room for a dessert the dime bar cheesecakes are to die for :) thanks for a lovey meal yet again!

Found this Pub by chance on our way to racing. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to serve children's meals to our two grandchildren. Excellent food and very good service. Would certainly go again.
