Kronenhalle is not a restaurant – its an institution. This is where old (and white) Switzerland meets. The dishes are always the same and awesome, especially the Züri-Gschnätzeltes. Bring a full wallet ;)

Classy place with traditional high level service, very good food with traditional proposals and seasonal menu. It is indeed an institution in Zurich

For those who appreciate an old world dining experience, table side service, and an astonishing collection of original 20th century art, not to mention excellent food and a good wine selection. The server even reheats your seconds table side. Be sure and order to rosti potatoes.

This restaurant is a classic, timeless place where good food is paired with excellent, old school service and a nice ambience. We had been here a couple of years ago and must say nothing has changed, which sometimes is a reassuring experience. Congratulations to this restaurant for its consistency throughout the decades.

An old restaurant very much in the center of town, just 100m from the lake with very good, light cuisine (delicious salmon with lightest hollandaise ever and avocado-vinegrette), good selection of Swiss wines and beautiful paintings in the walls. Miró, Chagall, Picasso & al have been paying the owners with their paintings instead of money - good, old times to... More

If you enjoy the idea of dining in another era, with Service (and menu!) that feels like the 1930's, then the Kronenhalle is worth an evening. The art hanging on the walls deserves a tour of the restaurant on it's own. Ask for a table under the Chagall. The place reminds me of Galatoires or Antoines in New Orleans for... More

I will never come back to this place. It's probably an institute, in Zurich, but I cannot believe that people come here for good food. The price quality is completely out of Balance and the food is not prepared with love.

Zurich can be a bit boring when it comes to finding good restaurants, especially if you don't want to pay a fortune. Kronehalle offered good German style food mashed up with some Italian influences. It also one of the few places that are open on Sunday evenings in Zurich (by the way, it was packed, suggesting there is a demand... More

The restaurant is located in Old Town, and has an old fashioned dining room. Lots of choices- my family mainly had the ravioli and salad. It was packed, so be sure to book in advance!

Large, old-fashioned, imposing restaurant (though entrance is a bit hidden), rather formal and expensive even by Zurich standards. But the food is superb, the service impeccable. I really couldn't fault it and enjoyed the meal immensely. It's deservedly popular so best to book. If you feel like a special treat in Zurich, I'd definitely recommend this restaurant.
