This restaurant is a wonderful address for a casual dinner with some friends. The service is very professional and super friendly, the food is authentic and delicious and the wine list extensive! I love this place!!!

Been here for a work dinner and I have to say that the ambience is fantastic. It was very well thought of and it gives a warm feeling, defintely the place has a great rustic yet professional character. The cooked food was just about average....The first plate, although claiming that its a tajarin with truffles, the truffle shaves were so few and thin, that I didn't even taste the truffles. The second place, beef, was not particularly tasty, and the vanilla dessert didnt taste of any vanilla. Strange, right? The wine selection was vast and wines we ordered tasted good. The service was very good, prompt and attentive. All in all, given that the food was just about average, I would say that considering what you get, I consider it expensive. If food was up to the expectation, I would not have minded to pay such money.More

La Bottega di Mario is a wonderful restaurant just of Bahnhofstrasse in Zürich. It represents the italian part of Swizerland to perfection. The settings aer very cosy, Swiss and with lots of emotional element such as a wall full with hanging Ham, Salami, Mortadella and...all the wonderful cuts Italy has to offer. The restaurant is urban, caters to all social members. It offers a very attractive Italian menu and a most astonishing wine list, with consumer friendly pricing. The service is curteous and friendly. One has to reserve well in advance to get a table.More

I get that Switzerland is expensive but still, the price we paid for for what we got is ridiculous. We ordered a plate of deli meats for 32 CHF, and then added an order of vegetarian antipasto for 24 CHF. There was no wine list...so I said just bring us a nice bottle of white wine, which turned out to be 62 CHF. It would be nice if the waiter/owner had mentioned the price beforehand. Four pats of buffalo mozzarella with the antipasto was an extra 16 CHF, plus a bottle of still water for another 16 CHF and a glass of wine for 9 CHF and we're at 159 CHF, frig me. All of that and a lack of service, because there was a party happening at the same time in the back garden. Don't say you haven't been warned.More

It is a salumeria and a wine bar. Mostly local products from Ticino. Great wine list. Excelent Merlot and Pino Noir. Smiling staff. Good service. If they bring you the wine in carafe ask to check the bottle. Feeling nice place. We had a very...good time.More

Had lunch at La Bottega di Mario. Loved the decor and the location, very well done, nice mix. Food was flavorful and prices reasonable given you can order small portions too.

Excellent restaurant, perfect location, a stone's throw from our hotel and the city center; menu with many proposals and all excellent; good service, in Italian, even if a little slow, perhaps due to the fact that the restaurant depends on the kitchen of the nearby...Carlton. The bill is always high, but this is the Swiss for us Italians. Recommended.More

Great location in the heart of Zurich. Very nice cozy interior. Very friendly and smiling staff, they have a level of friendliness which is really unusual, very much appreciated. Very good food. The choice is limited, they focus on small plates but all of them...are excellent. I tried beef tartare, prosciutto crudo, Vitello Tonnato- all dishes were excellent, both quality and taste. Very good Tiramisu. Extensive wine list, excellent choice. The sommelier did a great job and recommended a wine I did not know before and was excellent. I was extremely happy and will definitely come back!More
