In Sweet Basil Restaurant we offer healthy, tasty and affordable Thai dishes, centrally located in the heart of Zurich. It is a pleasure to prepare cook and serve our dishes to the customer just like the way we do back home.

Delicious! We stopped in for lunch, but were told the menu was limited and it was suggested that we come back for dinner based on what we wanted (pad see ew and pad thai). It was suggested we make a reservation and we were so glad we did! It is a small restaurant and it was full, so we were so glad we had reservations. The food was delicious and the staff could not have been nicer! A great evening on our European trip.

This restaurant was nice enough to accept a reservation for six at a short notice, so we were lucky to enjoy it's that food.
The curry came inside an actual coconut, which was a new experience for me despite being a fan of Thai food.
Overall, we're delighted with the food, except the Tom Yum soup, which was more sour than spicy for my taste.

At first somewhat disappointed to not find my common list of 4/5 favourite dishes (one was sold out), but it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to me. Had to move out of my comfort zone and try some new things: fantastic. Great tasty food and super friendly staff. Back in two weeks to take another dive in the deep!!

We were craving for Asian flavours with our 3 weeks long Europe trip and this restaurant did not disappoint! The taste of the dishes are super authentic and delicious that we decided to come back for dinner the next day to try out the other dishes. The staff here is very professional and welcoming and both nights, the restaurant is packed with guests, so remember to reserve a table in advance! Highly recommend!

Food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and professional.
Restaurant is 'cosy' so don't expect and intimate dinner but the food more than makes up for that.
Highly recommend.

Decent food. No possibility to pay by debit card below a certain amount (CHF 20). Recurring customers are not treated in a special manner, but simply like they are a commodity.

Very good choice of meals cooked like in Thailand. You can choose how spicy. Service very friendly - we had the pleasure to be served by Apple - lovely.

This is a nice little Thai restaurant. We didn't have a reservation but were still able to get a table for 2 on a Saturday night, despite the restaurant being busy. The food was very good. And the service super friendly. But be careful when asking for spicy: My dish came out very spicy.

Went for dinner with couple of friends and as usual was delighted with the food and the service. Delicious authentic Thai cuisine with a spread of dishes to choose to suit every taste from the mild European to the more adventurous palate. The decor is very tasteful and inviting.
A definite recommendation. It is a hidden jewel in the middle of Zurich. A must try.

We had a very nice dinner with colleagues from work. We have been 10 people and everyone was happy with the food and the friendly service. We always got a smile and the plate of Thai tapas quickly emptied and the refill came quick after our order. The main dishes have been great and did not leave space for a dessert.

Popped in for a quick bite as we were going to watch a movie nearby. Food was great and very tasty! Service was extremely friendly and welcoming, which makes a huge difference in ZH! Will be back.

Very friendly and helpful staff present you with lashings of great Thai food, from tasty curries served in a coconut shell to delicious noodles straight from the wok. The place is 5 minutes from Selnau station and, handily, 2 minutes from the Metropol cinema. So a perfect spot to fill up at before seeing the latest blockbuster. Enjoy!

Authentic Thai dishes, arranged with a passion for food and design.
Not the typical take away, but rather a place to relax with friends and have a good time eating and drinking. Although the place is rather small it doesn't feel uncomfortable. The staff is friendly and are greeting every customer in Thai. They speak both German and English.

Since years i considered the Bang Thai as the best thai palce in ZĂĽrich. But now, I've a new faovrite. Probably the best Phad Thai I ever had in ZĂĽrich. Also very nice red curry with beef and fresh pineapple. The fried rice was not much, but I should have rememberred while ordering, that my favorites are fried rices from China oder Malaysia and not Thailand. Mixed starters (from two persons upward) where also fantastic. Go there if you wanna find a touch of Thailand in ZĂĽrich (except for the interior).
