Dapur is a shiny Indonesian Jewel in Zurich!

Dapur offers a rich exotic taste experience with beautifully presented food. The service is perfect. Nice drinks selection and good deserts. Lunchtime has a very nice, reasonably priced menu with a main and salad/soup. The decor is reminiscent of Bali and the outside terrace is wonderful in Spring! A very worthwhile dining experience a short walk from the Oerlikon Train Station. I recommend it to those who would like to try food choices which are nutritious and delicious and Earth friendly!

As someone who grew up in Indonesia, I was very skeptical of the fact they only served plant-based foods as it was my first time there. I initially wondered how it would change the taste. When I got there, they managed to get all the taste profiles right and it truly tasted very similar to authentic Indonesian food. As a non-vegan, I really enjoyed the food there and it made vegan eating very easy. I highly recommend getting the Rendang Nangka and their house cocktail, Wayang.

tasty take away

I ordered the first time here last week for pick-up. The process was really easy. My food was ready at the time I specified and it was still really hot at home. It tasted delicious. I ordered two dishes and a starter and can't wait to try the other dishes. I will definitely order again and am looking forward to eating there in person.

pricy for small portion

This was the third time I went there, but first time after this restaurant became veganese. I reserved, and arrived just exactly on time, and there other 2 groups came at the same time. They were guided to terrase, but not me. Until I asked if I could sit outside, but she said, I could but only until an hour. So that, i decided to sit inside. Until I finished eating there for 2 hours, none was on the terrase where I asked to sit at. I read the other reviewers, seemed like this was happening many times, and indeed a bit dissapointed. About the food, it was good, only the food portions were too small and a bit pricey. If you ask me to come back,..hmm I should think twice.

Fantastic cuisine, very rich food

We did a Covid takeaway today any were blown away by the richness of the dishes. All fantastically seasoned with beautiful flavors. We tasted four starters and four mains among us any all were of excellent quality. Also the newt lovers amongst us did not miss the meet at all.

The same menu for years, but it works... The food is wonderful, the service impeccable. When you go here, you know in advance what you are going to order. The small garden at the back is cozy and pleasant. We are very happy that Dapur exists in Zurich, which is poor in vegan restaurants.

Very good food

Amazing, fragrant dishes! This is my favourite restaurant in Zurich so far. I usually bring friends here. The one disadvantage, is that it's too small, and that coming spontaneously is not possible, as requires reservation in advance, which makes me go much less often than I'd like.

Very good and authentic restaurant in Zurich ! Certified by my malaysian wife. The service is also very good. Too expensive for the size of the portion but they didn't charge for my daughter so I have to give 5 stars.

I went to this restaurant before it was plantbased restuarant and it was amazing at the time. Now, with this new proposition, 100% plantbased, I should they are doing a fantastic work, food is tasty, service is very good and becomes a great experience, for vegan and non-vegan customers

You have to experience it to believe it!

Dapur is a very special restaurant and a pioneer in the very important transition to plant based cuisine possibilities. Amazing Indonesian food with spectacular presentation! The ambiance is like a trip to Bali, Indonesia, with the sophistication of Zurich efficiency as the service is superlative. The location is a minute from the Oerlikon train station. Candle-lit tables, a romantic garden and the fragrant scent of delicious flavourful food. I highly recommend this dining experience to those with style, good taste and the impetus (or necessity) to evolve. It is also possible to order a tasting of 7/11 dishes for 2 people upwards, arrange by telephone 1-2 days before! This is a first in any restaurant I have visited and a very exciting choice given the exquisite menu!! Well done Dapur! Your purpose is deliciously satisfying! You achieve it in every sense!
