Upon entering, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. It’s a big bonus (+) and always really nice to be acknowledged and greeted with friendly smiles from the entire staff.
This is a relatively, newly opened café. There is a nice exterior side garden seating...area. Inside, there is a nice mix of green and white decorations around the room. The seating consists of wooden tables and chairs, a few padded high stools, and at the back bar there are two pommel horse (yes the gymnast sets, without the inset rings). A few musical instruments adorn the wall and parts of the room. Several of the table bases are comprised of stacks of books set under wooded tables. There are great seats around the room, but I would opt for the padded, colorful chairs on the stage (next to the sewing machine and piano) that towers above the room or the rear corner padded seats.
I simply stopped in for a hot chocolate (6CHF) and to check out this new spot. They offer oat milk, another plus (+) for having a milk substitute on the menu! The milk is steamed and a small cup of real chocolate chips accompany this, which one can add and stir in yourself, plus a tall glass of water brought to your table without having to ask. The menu also offers hot/cold beverages, healthy breakfast alternatives for weekend brunch, spreads, muesli, sandwiches, eis, and more. There is a full assortment of cocktails, alcohol, beer, mixers, and more. A few retail items are available for takeaway.
There is free secured Wi-Fi, a laid back atmosphere and soft music playing in the background. The restrooms were spotless and you have an option of paper or cloth hand towels, and a cd player with a few disc to choose and play while freshening up. Disinfectant is located at the entrance and in the restrooms. All tables are socially distanced and most staff members were wearing masks.
It was a pretty exceptional visit as the level of service, atmosphere, and more extras were included for one to have such a complete and full range of items to make your visit comfortable, enjoyable so you can return again and be a regular. and to have you return again as a regular. I certainly hope they can keep up the awesome service for the future. Staff person, Julia, was exceptional on my visit, but the entire staff was really wonderful! A great visit. Well done!More
