I had a wonderful dinner here at Restaurant Adlisberg. I was looking for a restaurant to properly eat game prepared the traditional Swiss style. And I found it here. I don’t have anything bad to say about this restaurant. The service was super, very attentive...and knowledgeable. When we inquired about the wines and their characteristics they recommended very good ones and all of my party was happy with their choices. The food did not disappoint as well. Really tender and perfectly prepared venison as well as delicious sides. All in all I will come back here and can recommend it to all of the readers of this review.More

The Adlisberg is a simple country Inn in walking distance from the Doder Grand Hotel (15 min.), from the Dolder summer swimming pool and winter ice skating grounds (5-10 min.), and from the Zoo tramway station (20 min.). The old farmhouse has been converted into...an inn with several cosy dining rooms and spaces for larger groups. They have kept the stables whith horses and have a childrens playground. Tasty local dishes, friendly staff, good wines, terrace dining (when weather permiting). We like the calf liver with rösti (a delicacy, miles away from beef or pork liver!), the large salad bowls to share, the Swiss Bratwurst with Rösti, plus many seasonal dishes. Ask the manager for a special bottle of wine; you'll be surprised at the quality in such a simple place. Rather good value for money. Some parking behind the house available, plus the large parking at the Dolder pool and ice skating ground (5-10 minute walk).More

Cozy and welcoming atmosphere in a hidden gem. Good food quality and delicious taste. Service is friendly and attentive. Even for large groups a great spot for a night out. We had dinner in “sharing style”, which was perfect.

Food and location is great. We went couple of time as we enjoyed the atmosphere and food. However, last Sunday we went there and yes it was packed but the person placing people was rude and just ignored we booked a table! Just not what...it should be in a restaurant. A Big disappointment!More

The best thing about our hotel in Zurich was that they recommended this lovely restaurant. It was just what we were looking for. We were on the way to airport to fly home and wanted a restaurant outside of the city centre. This lovely restaurant...is located near the zoo on the way to airport but is situated in lovely countryside with people on horseback or going for walks in the woods. It is a typical Swiss chalet building and it was lovely to eat outside. The food was all delicious but I would especially recommend the potato gratin which was the best I have eaten. We ate there on a Sunday lunch and it was clearly very popular so worth making a reservation.More

My wife and I totally agree that this was our favorite all-time restaurant experience in Zurich, and that's after visiting Zurich three times. Just a few minutes from central Zurich via tram and furnicular takes you to a delightful countryside restaurant next to horses grazing...peacefully. The food was a little expensive, but very local and authentic, with outstanding taste. If you do not have a car, take the tram to the Romerhof stop, and then take the funicular (itself quite an experience) all the way to the top at the Dolderbahn station. From there it's a very nice, easy, and scenic walk to the Adlisberg Restaurant, which looks like a country farmhouse from the outside. The service is outstanding, and so is the food and setting. To be sure, it cost us CHF 38 each for a chicken dish, but we both agreed it was worth it. Let's face it -- nothing is cheap in Switzerland, so if you are going to pay that kind of money, at least get a unique dining experience like the Adlisberg. If you are looking for a fast-food place, don't come here, but if you want something casual but still with top-notch food, ambiance, and service, this is the place. We will definitely return here the next time we are in Zurich.More

The restaurant Adlisberg is close to the skating rink. It can be reached easily using the scenic Dolderbahn from the Römerhof station. It is in an old farm house. The former cow stable is used as a dining room, the tables are named after the...cows. The food was solid swiss cooking. The service was very pleasant, the only nuisance being the owner continuously and loudly correcting our otherwise very efficient waitress.More

I travelled with my husband and my two children. We searched for a swiss restaurant and found the Adlisberg. The location is more than beautiful and most important the food is delicious. The staff is very helpful and gives great suggestions for the best local...food, they’re also very childfriendly! Definitely worth a try and we would visit again!More
