We stopped in for breakfast. The French toast was beautiful and the eggs Benedict the very best I've ever had...coffee was lovely and rich, and the hot chocolate smooth and tasty. Well worth stopping by...try and sit in the courtyard at the back. Very peaceful and relaxing start to the day. Highly recommended.

Cafe Shober is always worth a stop when you're in Niederdorf Zurich. Love their tasty pastry and the flavorful coffee. A must to go see during Christmas, the decoration is breathtaking.

We stopped here to taste the hot chocolate. We sat outside on the terrace watching the people go by and drinking our hot chocolate. It is very rich and the whipped cream delicious!!

Very nice coffe shop, the pastry is really good and also the hot chocolate. A little expensive but everything is expensive in Zurich

A friend of mine from the US moved to Switzerland and took my friend and I here for afternoon drinks and pastries. This place is packed, always crowded, when you have anything on the menu you'll know why!!! The set up puts you back in a nostalgic era, and it is BEAUTIFULLY decorated. The pastries and candies are rich and... More

The cafe and its historic atmosphere is really nice. It was really crowded when we went there, so you may have to wait a little but it is worth to the delicious cakes and coffee.

We went here for the Hot Chocolate and weren't disappointed. We also had cheese quiche and ham quiche, both of which were divinely Swiss in flavor. I would give it 5 stars, but it is pricey, even given that Zürich is an expensive to begin with.

Our friends brought us to this cafe, which has been around since they were kids ( a long time ago). They said we absolutely had to have the hot chocolate. They were right, the hot chocolate was delicious. But, remember this is Switzerland. It was also the most expensive hot chocolate we've ever had in our lives.

Heard that this is the best hot chocolate in Zurich / Swiss / the world!! Was really good! And tasty! A bit expensive in my mind, but not for Zurich I guess... Also took a croissant (had better). Any way it's worth a try.
