Lovely restaurant with average food

Cozy place, nice service, food is OK. Potato gratin tasted like it had been reheated. Too much butter (or ghee). All vegetables, meat just tasted like it was cooked. Meat was OK. For the price range, you can eat much better and more. The recipes have been the same for years. What a pity.

Lunch with my friends

we enjoyed a fantastic lunch with my friends in this wonderful atmosphere. Some tried the vegetarian menu, Satisfied and enthusiastic about the Indian spices. The others have chosen meat dishes. The course of the Indian as well as the traditionell all tasted full. Not to mention the wonderful appetizers. Pakora was the favorite. The service was excellent and friendly. Our friends were satisfied and they will surely return.

The Pakistani / Indian plates are very tasty with excellent spices yet mild. There are also a couple of Swiss plates that seem to be good. Very good kitchen and service.

Nice restaurant

Nice and cozy restaurant, limited choice of food, prepared with dedication but not really outstanding. Good option for an unpretentious dinner. Atmosphere is nice, but on the evening we went only two tables were taken, ours and a second one. Probably because it was Tuesday evening during school holidays.

Excellent food - in a noisy and stressful atmosphere

Thursday evening was very crowded and loud. Reserved table had to be shared with other guests to the left AND right - a private conversation was not possible. The waiters were at their limit, spilled a red wine glass of ma neighbor and rather unprofessional, chaotic - - - The food - both Indian dishes was excellent - but we did not enjoy because of the noise and stressful atmosphere.

Expensive even for Swiss🇨🇭

Recently I had dinner with some friends and colleagues at Barnabas. The service was nice and friendly and the food tasted great. After seeing the menu prices we did not thought of ordering anything else than beer. Wow, was the wine pricy. The portion could have been a bit more generous, but it was not tiny either.

A pleasantly surprising and distinctive menu with a touch of the orient but alternatives for the more traditional client. Unusually, the VAT (MwSt) is added on at the end of the bill - it's not included in the menu prices.

Nice cozy restaurant

Food has a touch of India, we were 5 persons eating there and most dishes was fine, however don't order the beef, it's not cooked with the interest of giving the customer a good food experience.

great taste of India !

I was taken to the restaurant by a friend. The restaurant had a good athmosphere, and there were quite a few guests. Looking at the menu, I was happy to find samosas and tandoori chicken, among many other dishes. Good selection !

Delicious Food in a Cosy Atmospher

We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Barnabas. Two of us had ginger chicken and thought it was great. One had the ostrich filet and found it to be very good, yet another tried the chefs jumbo shrimp. We all enjoyed the delicious food and can recommend this restaurant.

Waiting, waiting, waiting

The food was nothing special and the prices are not really justified. Worst experince was the service: one (although very friendly) waitress for 40 to 50 guests. Waiting time from getting in to get the food almost one hour.

Great little restaurant

Smashing little restaurant tucked away behind the hochschule. The menu is interesting and varied - far eastern and Swiss dishes sit side by side with some Mediterranean fare. All the food we had was excellent and even satisfied my French colleagues who are hard to impress gastronomically. The staff were very friendly and the prices were very reasonable, I will certainly return for both business and personal events.

Great Euro-Asian Food and very cosy

We really enjoyed the food, very tasty dishes from Indian- to Thai curries up to Cordon bleu. Very friendly and helpful service giving us good recommendations for wine and food. The place is quite small but very cosy, so I would recommend to place a reservation in case you would like to visit the restaurant after 19:00 during the week or in general during weekends.
