Took a couple of friends here for dinner during recent visit from Australia. Food was amazing! Wine selection was very good - and when we were not 100% sure what would go well with our food selection the owner was more than happy to assist us which was a nice, personal touch. Staff generally friendly, assisting and helpful which made... More

In the old town just about 3 blocks from the Lowen am See hotel is the Restaurant Aklin. We chose Veal Zurich style (Geshnetzeltes) three times on a 3 week trip in Switzerland and this restaurant provided a delicious version with very tender meat. It is veal in a cream sauce served with the typical Rosti ( Swiss style hash... More

The food was fantastic. Yes it is one of the more expensive places in Zug but then again everything is expensive in this part of the Switzerland. Our bill for a group of 6 was over 800CHF however i found the service to be distinctly snobbish, not even a smile from any one of the staff that served our group... More

Really good food, not bad service, nice wine. Perhaps a bit too expensive. Probably difficult to get there with a wheelchair.

Without doubt. It is pricey as well, but not extraordinarily. There were no bad dishes in our history of 10+ dinners. Everything is recommendable. Also very nice location, great service and beautiful rooms. Good wine list.

We had just a wonderful time. The best beef rossini we have ever had. The atmosphere was great and the manager was extremely nice. Thank you very much for the great service provided.

I've just had a really great Aklin Classic of Veal Corden Bleu follow by devine chocolate mousse for dinner. The food was excellent. The service was somewhat slow and the waitress a little blunt, but that could also just have been her English. It's a local fine dining spot and that's probably relative to the dinners experience of other fine... More
