All the 'posh' restaurants were full so we gave this place a go. It was great. Friendly service, great range of beers on tap and a simple, tasty menu, including a gluten free option. Loved the place - eye for details, nice atmosphere, lovely staff, good beers and yummy food with ingredients from locals around. Place to be, to stop by and enjoy yourself - in the heart of Zug Altstadt with view on the lake.

We found this new restaurant on a rainy evening and came in for some shelter. It was a delightful surprise - the staff were friendly and welcoming and it had a relaxed atmosphere. To pass the time, we played some card games they have in...a basket, and ended up spending the whole evening there. We had the weekly special and the ribs, which were great. We'll be returning.More

Good selection of beers but the food is not that good. The price is a bit high for the portion of the dishes. Might be still a good place if you wish to have a beer with your friends. Good location.More

The Althus Bar has just been renovated so it’s really the NEU Althus Bar. What a superb summer’s evening sitting on the cobbled stones of the old town. Love the concept of serving locally brewed beers and sourcing from local food suppliers. They have wine...too! Great food, great drinks and such friendly service.
