Recommended by hotel staff, I had cheese fondue while my wife had a steak with potatoes gratin dish. They were the best meals we had during our short trip to CH. The staff were excellent and the price was mid-range - well worth it since the food was out of this world! The decor is that of a very quaint... More

This restaurant was a little more upscale than the other one that we tried that served the traditional Swiss dishes. We liked it very much but thought the other was a little more rustic and fun. (Caveau des Vignerons) Really they both very very good. A salad with bree cheese stands out in my memory (6 months later) and wonderful... More

We did the beef grilled over charcoal, wonderful! As stated before, the potatoe gratin is delicious. Staff was wonderful, go with their wine recommendations!

The place is a little small and not that easy to find, but worth the adventure. The decor makes you feel like you went back in time. The service was fantastic. We didn't know how to order or the proper procedure. The waitress was extremely patient with us and explained everything. We gained 100 pounds because we couldn't stop eating... More

My wife and I (on our honeymoon) arrived at 10pm on a Saturday, very excited about eating here and was denied a table; we were told they were closing for the night. There were clearly many patrons in the middle of their meal and their website said open till midnight. Very disappointed at being turned away. I am Filipino Canadian... More

My wife and I visited this beautiful restaurant whilst on holiday from the UK and I can honestly say we are glad that we did. We both had the Charbonnade Trilogy which was very nice and the accompiants, Gratin du Caveau and 5 sauces were delicious. An extra special mention goes to the two waitresses who were VERY friendly and... More

Best fondue and charbonnade around (Swiss style BBQ at your table) the meats are wonderful, cheese fondues are the best in the region and service is very kind and friendly (Especially after this new manager, Mathew is a wonderful guy who runs the place wonderfully). Been their customer for the past 10 years, and will continue to recommend and dine... More

Don't be put off by awkward entrance outside- go inside and see for yourself. A short walk from the lakeside you'll find this wonderful restaurant. Comfortable and cute on the inside- wooden beans and tartan table cloths. Very Swiss experience with lots of choice. The wine is superb and service was excellent. We went on a Wednesday where they do... More

For our last night in Switzerland we asked the concierge at our hotel for the best cheese fondue in town and he recommended Le Museum, which is a restaurant in the basement of a museum. He was right--it was the best we have ever had--even better than the one we had in Zermatt. The service was great and staff was... More

The Museum is situated in a historical building in the old town of Montreux and it is less than 10 minutes walking distance from the main train station.

Founded in the early years of the worldwide known Montreux Jazz Festival The Museum has been the place to be for many internationally known stars like Mick Jagger and David Bowie to name but a few.

The setting is traditionally Swiss with an authentic atmosphere. In summer a peaceful court invites families and friends to enjoy a meal in a relaxing environment.

The Museum accepts groups of up to 150 people and it is the ideal place for family or company events, but it is also a romantic place if you'd like to spend a privileged moment with your loved one.

The Museum honours the Swiss cuisine with many different cheese and meat fondues of the highest quality. You could also try their famous' Charbonnade', a charcoal grill on which you grill your meat according to your own taste! Most of the menus are served with the outstanding potato gratin made with chef's secret ingredients (this includes 10 different Swiss cheeses).

We look forwards to welcome you soon !
