Having lived in Lausanne for the past 4 years, I can easily say that the fondue at Chalet des Enfants is the best in town. Try their beer fondue for something lighter and do not miss their desserts!

We were 5 ex-colleagues who met up for lunch here in the Carnotzet. We had an excellent fondue (half/half) followed by a delicious rhubarb tart. There was also a good choice of wine. A special thanks to our waiter, Damian, who was very cheerful and patient with us, especially with one of our colleagues who had difficulty deciding exactly what... More

Sunny days are coming soon. This is the best place in the Lausanne region if you want to take young kids. They will have lots of fun and you will have good food.

We went there with our Korean friends to give them a taste of Switzerland and they were not at all disappointed! We wen't there with 3 children and they found many things to play with. This place is really children-friendly! As for food, we tried two types of fondue and they were excellent! The traditional and a beer-based one. Scrumptious... More

My colleagues and I visited the auberge last week for a conference diner. We all pre ordered the set menu. The service was very friendly, the atmosphere cosy but unfortunately the food was very average. Our starter was a plain salad with poor quality ham and cheese. The tarragon chicken was overcooked and the dessert was just about ok. Compared... More

We had a lovely fondue dinner here set amongst the pastoral scenery. It was very memorable for the delicious food and unique setting. It is about 20 minutes outside the city centre, but well worth the time to get there.

I do understand that we are on the country side. I do understand that there are a lot of cows and other animals. However I don't understand how we have the rate of 50 flies per table flying around. The place is great, the brunch is probably one of the best of Lausanne but it is impossible to have it... More

Hello nunomccosta, With the cooler days this problem got already solved by itself but we understand well your complaint and are really sorry about the flies that where really numerous this summer! Being in a farm with animals, as you mentioned, we usually have some flies in summer but this year it was terrible because of the special hot temperature... More

Found this restaurant through the reviews, and fortunately the taxi was able to locate the restaurant which was about 20 mins drive from the town. It was quick packed when we arrived, considering that there wasn't much cars parked outside (!). The serving staff was helpful and recommended variety of fondue for us, as well as the beer on tap.... In the countryside, you wont get there by chance. Make sure to book though as it gets very busy any time of the year. In summer the terrace overlooks the fields where cows are grazing. Fondue is a safe choice but the menu offers a selection of other options to satisfy every taste. There is a big garden for kids... More
