Love the food here -one of my favourite restaurants in Lausanne. A brilliant place to meet with friends and share dishes. The staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. Highly recommended.

Great place! Food is excellent and the owners are a warm, welcoming couple that always make us feel at home! We are regulars and are happy to walk to the other side of the city to enjoy their excellent cuisine!

I must confess that every time i visit Lausanne I must visit this restaurant. The restaurant is small and cosy. For some the seating might be a bit to close to each other although it serves traditional Ethopian food and makes you feel at home so no worries on that for me. The owner himself is the chef and cooks... More

This restaurant serves good and authentic Ethiopian food, but unfortunately I would not visit this establishment again, because of the poor service. Maybe we visited on a super busy night, because they certainly seemed to be understaffed, but it was still bit of a downer to not get any decent service at all, i.e. waiting very long for our drinks... Great food and pleasantly served and prepared. A nice way to escape stress and enjoy the friends you are with. I have been there multiple times (5). I am always pleased. It is run by a husband and wife team.

Very very tasty food and a reasonable price, given this is Switzerland. I ordered the gommen-besega lamb (with spinach, onions and green bell peppers). My friend ordered one of the vegetarian options (yatekelt wet). They were served together (see pic) on 3 overlapping pancakes with 4 sides (red lentils, green lentils, yellow split peas, mixed vegetables). Plus more pancakes served... More

This is one of our semi regular restaurants. The food is delicious and service is great. Don't waste your time with the menu if you're a Ethiopian food newbie. Order the veg or meat platter for # of people eating.

After being subjected to quite an unpleasant experience at Abyssinia, we looked for another Ethiopian restaurant to satisfy our craving for Ethiopian food. Le Nil Bleu saved us. When you push open the doors to Le Nil Bleu, you step into a cozy little corner of Ethiopia. The restaurant offers a quite surprising layout: all in length. We ended up... More

Food was very food. I asked for a vegan option and they were helpful. The place is clean, lovely decorated. The service is kinda slow, and it was a bit expensive. However, it was a different experience and we really enjoyed our dinner!
