Had dinner there with some friends. It was an interesting experience. We tried different types of bread with cheese and eggs as well as chicken and beef with vegetables. The dishes were tasty but quite fatty. The music was a bit too loud for a...restaurant.More
Have eaten in many Georgian restaurants in Russia and Georgia and know their food. The tsatsivi was poor and the chicken clearly not cooked in the sauce, the kharchupouri way overpriced, and the mains excessively expensive for average food. CHF57+ for Georgian wine ... gimme...a break!! The service was slow and somewhat arrogant, and aside from the owner / staff, there was nothing authentic about this place. An overpriced, under-quality rip-off. We won’t be back.More
Just had lunch with the family there. Awesome experience! The food is just amazing, and this is given that we are used to very good and expensive restaurants. And the food here is just good, without being pretentious (like Chateau d'Ouchy or Cafe de Theatre)....Will be back soon.More
We found this restaurant accidentally and decided to give it a try. It was worth every second spent there. The food was absolutely delicious and the owners are super amazing people.
Once we go back to Switzerland, we will visit Lausanne just to have a...dinner at this place!More
A real discovery - we went there with our 2 children in the evening, someone recommended it to us. Since I did not know the Georgian kitchen I was skeptical first; but the food was really delicious: new flavors and textures, excellent soups as well,...special beverages. Friendly staff und good atmosphere as well, not far from the center and close to Ouchy. We can highly recommend this place!More
Restaurant opened by Georgian owner in Lausanne. Place is very busy in the evenings, so better book in advance. Good variety of dishes, everything is home made and delicious. Definitely recommend to visit.
We tried to have lunch there at around 15:00 hrs, and yes it was late for Swiss standards but hey, they claim to have non -stop kitchen starting 11:00 am. We were welcomed by a man who asked whether we wanted to eat, yes please,...so he offered us a table. Ritual of removal of winter gear, gloves, caps, coats, jackets, sat down and about five minutes later a woman (the manager, the cook?) comes to us and asks again whether we want to eat, yes please. She made a face, said that she was too busy preparing for a large group later that evening and could not feed us... That's it, no apologies, basically we were bothering her. I even asked whether she could recommend another restaurant in the area - open at this hour - and the flat response No, and she turned back to her kitchen! No excuses, no apologies, no "I am sorry and hope to see you again", here is the restaurant card, absolutely NOTHING!
By the way, there was a large group (8 or 10) of Russian women in the restaurant and three other persons who left while we were removing the winter gear.
I understand that such cases happen, but then you put a sign on the door "Sorry, we are closed", and you do not welcome guests to kick them out again 5 minutes later.
In my book this is unacceptable!
From what I have seen food reviews are good, but I will certainly not go back there...
And by the way, language / communication / misunderstanding was not the issue. We spoke French with both the man who welcomed us and the woman.
Good luck to you (potential guests) and in case you also get kicked out the way we have been, I have informed you thusly :-)More
