Really cosy traditional place and although in the Center of town the prices are very reasonable. I was here for a few days on business and after some team evenings I was on my own and needed somewhere for a solo meal. The fondue was...wonderful and the service excellent despite my terrible French. I will definitely come back on my next visit and I saw the other dishes coming out to the other tables and everything looked great.More

A small, but wonderful brasserie in the heart of Lausanne. The hosts are a wonderful couple. They are friendly, attentive and talkative. I felt warmly welcome! The food was very nice, with the only thing to complain that the vegetables are from mixed package and...not some fresh ones. But the steak was perfect medium and the fries tasty. This could very well be my go-to-restaurant when back in Lausanne.More

We went there together with friends to have a fondue and spend a nice evening in the center of Lausanne. The place is right in the center, easily accessible and near parking facility. Food is good and service is great! Typical Swiss brasserie and menu!

Brasserie St Laurent serves excellent Vaud cuisine. Patron Tony is so friendly and makes you want to return and return. It is good value and the set menu with a carafe of local wine is part of our regular Saturday morning after shopping at the...market.More

I had little French, the waiter little English. I picked one of the daily specials, shellfish with spaghetti in a red sauce. It was delicious but when I got back to the hotel I got very sick and it all came back up. It didn't...taste very good the second time. I hope it wasn't a problem for a lot of other people too? I can't recommend this place after that. Beware!More

Friendly staff, Speaking English. Had the beef carpaccio and salad - good taste and portion size. The dessert was okay. The location is good - between the Cathedral and Quartier Flon.

I visited in late November last year. Surprisingly, considering that this is a reasonably centrally-located restaurant, this place is no tourist trap. I always check that restaurants do not have laminated multi-lingual menus, & appear to be full of locals. The staff are super-nice, it...is definitely a local hangout with regulars who know the staff and often the other patrons, the food & drink were top-notch for the price (I lived in Switzerland, and this is definitely the best value you will get in the price range - you will only tear up a little, rather than have a coronary when you see the bill), and the serving sizes were larger than average by Swiss standards. If you do not speak French, you may need to employ Google Translate but the staff are very helpful, and with my basic French I ordered a delicious prix fixe (fixed price, specials of the day) combo meal. I highly recommend this restaurant for the atmosphere & the food!More

A place to go in Lausanne to have a perfect meat fondue with perfect french fries!!! literally perfect! A hidden gem with great atmosphere ( little place, but super cosy, not too loud) old traditional restaurant with great choice of food. Staff really stands out...- super friendly and attentive. Really great job! Perfect place for dinner in the city center! Good luck to your little restaurant and a bientot! :)More

The food was good and reasonably priced for Switzerland. But the thing that made this place stand our was the friendly attitude of the staff. It's a cosy little place and feels truly Swiss.

If you like the great food of the Brasserie, an intimate and typical setting and warm service, this is the place for you. Hidden behind the Église Saint Laurent. Tasty typical offerings like rabbit in mustard sauce, pig’s trotters and piccata milanese come at a...great price, prepared well and served with a charming smile.More

Visited for dinner on an evening in February, few people in streets and no one dining in restaurant when we arrived. Ordered fish dishes both of which were excellent. Proprietor served us with extra salads and a desert on a complimentary basis, both delicious. Reasonable...selection of House wine in half litre bottles. Service good. All reasonably priced. A great little restaurant that we would have no hesitation in recommending.More

As someone who travels on their own a lot one of my pet peeves is when you get tucked away in a corner as if they are trying to hide you. That is exactly what happened here. However, service was attentive, which is not always...the case when that happens. Food was great. The wine list was surprisingly nice. The overall vibe was a cross between a bar and a restaurant. On a night when not too many places seemed to be open this ended up being a surprisingly good choice, seating notwithstanding.More

We had walked by the Brasserie many time and it was a good decision today to go in for lunch. Though it was busy and is about as central as a place can be in Lausanne, we were given personal attention and it felt as...if we were in a community "local" unique to Lausanne. The local wine selection was good and reasonably priced, as was the lunch time menu. We had the emincé de beau Zurichois and mussels and fries. Tasty, well prepared and served well. Highly recommended!More

Went without a reservation on a weekday evening. There were no tables available. All were reserved or occupied. The friendly wait staff managed to fit us in and so we had our dinner. We could not speak a word of their language but managed to...order 3 mains: perches meunieres, escalopes citron and emince zurichoise. The perch was fresh and lightly grilled and tasted good. The meat dish were tender and tasty. There were locals in the restaurant having their meals which means it should be reasonably priced and authentic.More

A friend and I were wandering Lausanne on our first night in the city when we stumbled across this little brasserie in a side street. While we were peering at the menu, a local patron came out for a smoke break and told us in...French, "It's really good here, really good - you should look at the daily specials. They're all served with salad, sides, they're very good." We decided that was endorsement enough, and went inside to find a cosy restaurant with friendly staff. The food was very reasonably priced compared to other places we'd walked past, and they had English menus on request, although the daily specials were only listed in French. We both ended up ordering specials - I had salmon with rice and vegetables, my friend had terrine with salad - and both were delicious. From what we could tell this is very much a local haunt; on this Monday night we were the only ones not speaking French the whole time we were there. (I relied on broken high school French to communicate, but the staff also knew enough English to manage with non-French-speakers.) Definitely recommended if you're looking for sensibly-priced local food in a friendly atmosphere.More
