If you want to have a typical fondue here is the place to go. However, be aware that: - the cost for a dinner is very expensive - The place is very characteristic but not really confortable seats - There is a strong smell of cheese (which somehow expected) So 3 is a combination of typical place for a fondue... I was invited for lunch to this restaurant. It is supposedly the oldest restaurant in Lausanne. It feels like an old cellar which I likred. The food is typical bistro fare fondues, stews steack etc. The food was good, by no means wow! The service was so so. We had to ask for the bill four times

Definitely best Fondue taste and experience in the area. The platters are excellent as well. But the selling point of this resto is the history and overall ambiance that comes with the dining experience

This is one of the best place in lausanne to have authentic swiss fondue. The decoration is cool and it seems to be popular among local old people. This is also one of the few restaurant in lausanne where you can order fondue for just one person ( generally you need ( or pay for ) min 2 person to... More

Love love love this place. We had the half half fondue which is just bread in an insanely rich sauce, got all the trimmings (onions, cornichons, best potatoes you'll ever eat). It is amazing, historic, a nice mix of tourists and locals, easily accessible on the number 2 bus. Highly recommend.

I think we just caught them on a busy night - it was a Friday night and the "La nuit des Musée" festival was going on. We came here for dinner and had no problem getting a table which was great / lucky so they weren't too busy for us. However, we did not have such luck with the food... More

My family and i had dinner at Pinte Besson tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was excellent and the cost reasonable. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were excellent. The kids enjoyed the food, particularly the Fondue and Rosti. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious fondues, rustic but cosy atmosphere, friendly service. Probably the only reason to look forward to the cold winter days. RECOMMENDED
