Delicious lunch with a view of the Matterhorn. We were lucky to have a clear sunny day. Everyone in our group loved their food. Easy walk from Furi gondola.

We hiked up the mountain towards the Matterhorn, and stopped for lunch at Zum See. We had no idea how good the food would be. I had the venison with mushrooms over salad. Tender and delicious! My wife was eating light, and simply had Rosti with vegetables. The chef was very accommodating to her gluten free wishes. We plan to... More

We have been to this amazing mountain restaurant both in the ski season and also during the summer months - it never fails to please. Delicious food and one of the specials of the house is the millefeuille which is always scrumptious. Friendly owners and staff, if you are visiting Zermatt give it a try. 30/40 minutes easy walk up... More

I have been for lunch with my wife. We have loved the place and the service. Food was made with very good quality ingredients but as it was not a sophisticated cuisine which did not require too much preparation we found the final price a bit high.

Beautiful scenery and hidden in old Swiss wooden alpine stable setting a hidden gem, So romantic and cosy, not overdone, but very charming. Excellent service and even better food. I chose for the vegetarian dish and it was heavenly, not a vegatarian myself, however am now tempted! finished with a yummy desert and beautiful wine, done and dusted!

SItting outside on a gorgeous day surrounded by diners from many countries and especially by ice cream eating children would be enough to make this memorable. But there is more: the food is consistently excellent. Try the lamb and rosti, along with a salad from their own garden - you are not going to eat better in Zermatt.

After a long hiking in the mountains we reached this restaurant. Our friends recommended it to us. It was really enjoyable, lovely fish and wine and dessert / Mille Feuille was just a dream.

Zum See is about 40 minutes from Zermatt Zu fuss and a beautiful hike mostly through lush forest.. It is a key part of our hiking experience. We usually head up towards Furi and beyond towards Schwartzsee to insure at least 1.5 hours up hill. We then return to Zumsee knowing it is one of the best restaurants in Zermatt.... More

Same great food, wine and service, but with hiking- instead of ski-boots... A bit tougher to reach without skis, but makes lunch all the more worthwhile!

We had lunch after walking down from the Furii gondola stop; an old farm house very charming and the food was very good. Service friendly. We had a tradional meat platter as a starter to share and salads and pastas for mains. nice wine selection
