Have visited this restaurant 4 times now and I have to say, that the attitude of the service is getting worse and worse.. First time it was quite ok, but lately they spend more time by chatting and having fun with each other more than taking care of their customers which is really such a shame because the cousine there... We had a fantastic dinner here, the service was great and they were very knowledgable about gluten free food - best gluten free bread I have had in Europe! The rosti was great and the creme brulee was so delicious! Would definitely recommend for anyone with dietary requirements

I got the bacon wrapped chicken, which was essentially a half chicken breast wrapped in bacon put on top of mushy risotto. It was ok, but not nearly what should be expected for $30/plate. Expect to pay about $50 per person. The staff wasn't very well trained and seemed like backpackers just hired and put to work.

We ate here several times as it is close to our hotel. The food is good and the staff friendly. The prices are reasonable.

Fantastic food. Very good quality and service was great. Able to cater for gluten free and vegetarian diets; even as far as having complimentary gluten free bread. Best lamb I've ever had!

Rather stumbled across this place. Separate Vegetarian Menu with choice of 4 starters,3 soups, 6 mains, Good wine list and range of beers, alcoholic and soft drinks. Food well presented and tasty. Very quick service. Excellent Wi-Fi. Prices are comparable with the area.

On our last night in Zermatt, we decided to splurge and seek out an over the top dessert place. We landed at Old Zermatt and were not disappointed. They didn’t “serve desserts”, they brought out works of art (see the photo). “Marbled Toblerone mousse with lukewarm plums” Reservations recommended. $$$$

We ate here every night for a week as part of Crystal Ski Half board package. Hubby had the set menu which was really varied including some local cuisine (duck, pork, cordon bleu, trout, chicken...) and loved it all. As a vegetarian I normally am not impressed with the food I get on skiing trips but this was a massive... More

We went for dinner last night after a long day of skiing. We were starving. We ordered a cheese fondue as an appetiser which came fairly quickly considering it took forever to get our order taken. The fire went out almost immediately and it took 10 minutes to find someone to relight the burner. I don't suggest the cheese fondue... More

Just had an evening meal at Old Zermatt and came away very, very pleased. As a vegetarian I've had some very poor to average meals in ski resorts but this was top notch, and I had a decent menu to choose from, not just cheese based mains. We were here because of staying at the Astoria hotel and my husband... More
