My family of 5 (kids 16, 14 and 19) loved this restaurant. It is a little away from the main tourist parts (about 10 min walk into the back streets of Zermatt) so felt a little more local than tourist. The food was fantastic the service was outstanding, the best service we had in our 6 days in Zermatt. There... More

Don't be fooled by the webpage info "Our comfortable, rustic restaurant...a nice rest after a hike in the Swiss mountains or playing sport" this is NOT the place for a rest after playing sports. After skiing with the family I called to make a reservation at 6pm they just said no and hang up. I thought maybe I didn't understand... More

This place is off the Main Street running through the town. Uphill and tucked within residential homes. It's necessary to book. Food is homely and delicious. I had the lamb shoulder which melted in the mouth. Split a pudding and glad we did as it was too big for one person. Cherries with Ameretto completely delicious. Plenty of choice on... More

My family and I had one of our best meals in Switzerland at Walliserstube. Superb and fresh quality, great value, and very generous portions. The amazing couple who runs the establishment is some of the most genuine I have met, and are genuinely so passionate about what they do. Highly highly recommend for families, friends, and a romantic meal for... More

We just dined here for our second time. And like our first visit earlier in the week, we had another perfect meal. The service is excellent and attentive but never pretentious. You feel genuinely welcome here. Our meals from appetizers to main course to dessert were superb. The quality of the food and it's sublime preparation definitely merit five stars.

We went here for dinner 2 night during our stay in Zermatt and were very happy with it. Menu offers a lot of variety and includes Swiss classics like Rösti and Fondue. Prices are also okay for Switzerland.

We were here for the second time and had again a wonderful and very tasty dinner. We went quite to a few restaurants in Zermatt and from our opinion this is the best with high quality, very friendly service and an authentic atmosphere.

The restaurant is situated a little out of the centre, about ten minutes walk from the railway station, the last part up a hill - but in a nice touch the restaurant will pay for a one way taxi ride. It is decorated in traditional Swiss style, with decent-sized tables and ample elbow room. The food is excellent, particularly the... More

This was the only restaurant during our stay in Zermatt that paid for your taxi ride to their restaurant. A nice touch since it is not centrally located. The service was excellent from start to finish. We had eaten a sizable lunch, so my husband ordered a mixed salad (best one the whole week-stuffed grape leave, kalamata olives, eggplant) and... What a find! We jumped on TripAdvisor to help us decide on a dinner location. Stumbled across this restaurant... home style food - just what we needed after a few weeks of travel. Friendly and helpful service; very attentive; cosy and relaxed atmosphere... I recommend the lamb shoulder and the side of French fries which complemented the dish. Extremely generous... More
