We were looking for somewhere reasonably cheap (for Switzerland) for dinner. Based on the TA advice, we chose the Brown Cow and we're lucky to get a table. Glad we did, the burger and fries came with salad and coleslaw which made quite a meal and the chicken wings were very tasty!

We called in at about 7pm and it was quite busy so we had to sit at the bar. My wife had the club sandwich, whilst I had the "stinky burger" (with gorgonzola, onions and garlic). Both meals came with fries, which had a double-fried appearance. With a couple of diets cokes the bill came to CHF48, which is not... More

After a week in Switzerland and Italy, this place filled our desires for a good old hamburger. The fries were hot and fresh and the salads good size and tasty. Service was friendly and English was well spoken. Prices were great compared to relatively expensive local fare spots. We were very pleased!! Thank you!!

I visited Brown Cow pub whilst on a three and a half day stay in Zermatt. Being a wheelchair user at the moment, Brown Cow like many of the pubs and shops in Zermatt looked inaccessible from the street due to several steps to get in. However my friend went in ahead an inquired if there was any other access.... More

The food was very good and freshly prepared and the prices were quite reasonable - a rarity in Switzerland. Service was quite good. It was quite busy at lunch time, but a local businessman eating alone offered to share his table with our family of 4 and we had an enjoyable meal. If you are looking for Swiss cuisine, this... Friendly place, inexpensive by Zermatt standards and nice atmosphere. Recommended for beers and bar snacks.

Great coffee, lovely cake, and very helpful and cheerful barman. This pub is in the centre of town and easy to get too.

went to the Brown Cow on our third night in Zermatt. Must say very impressed. Had the chicken Burger with fries and coleslaw - excellent quality , flavour and certainly good value for money. Zermatt can be silly money for food and drinks this was very sensible. Great atmosphere too.

Great place for pub food (including veggie burgers). The prices were very good for Zermatt, and the service was great. The only negative is the popularity of the place - it can be very difficult to get a seat.

We stopped in at the Brown Cow for an early dinner and were seated right away. The waitress was friendly and helpful. We had a hot dog and burger, both of which were delicious and reasonably priced for Zermatt.

Thank pat d
