Even if you don't stay for the polarizing show, this place will still make it in the "excentric" category for most of us. From starters served in a shoe (a new one, I am told) to layers of layers of beautiful lamb, food is great, decor is outrageous and staff friendly. Do try it but be prepared

It stared really wierd and I was worried if this evening wouldn't be a disaster, but it turned out to be a fantastic, funny and yummy place. First thing, you eat lamp! If you don't like it, don't go there or give it a chance. It's so delicious! Second, you like live local music! If not..... I will definitely go... More

What a great experience! You will find a super stylish place AND: the food is as great as the place! Try the lamb mix, and just rely on recommendations and enjoy this fantastic place. By the way, the waitresses are super cute... Highly recommended.

We were recommended to eat at Chez Heini during our recent few days' break in Zermatt, and how glad we were, as otherwise we may have missed a wonderful evening. From the moment we entered and were greeted by Matthias, we knew it was a "one off" experience and one we were glad we had saved for our last night.... More

Interesting place Chez Heini is. First of all, DON'T BE LATE. This was beaten into us by our hotel concierge when he made the reservations for us. And proof, while we were there, a party (who seemed familiar to the establishment) came in and without any welcoming pleasantries, was greeted with a "you're 4 minutes late!" I looked at the... Location: center Zermatt Ambiance: This restaurant is specialized in grilled Lamb which is a local delicacy. You can actually see the grill in the corner of the seating area. After diner there is a daily performance by the owner of the restaurant singing ABBA songs. It's really entertaining and fun. Host: super fun and friendly. They accommodate our last minute... More

A very unique atmosphere. Food was wonderful and you got plenty of it. Only negative was the high prices but it is Zermatt.

An experience not to be missed assuming you like lamb and don't mind a little concerto by Dan Daniele in person. A slightly dark restaurant but excellent food, nice wine and a very professional service. After 9pm the owner will sing a few of his songs.
